History of No.22 Bund

Building 22 on the Bund was built at 1906. It was originally the first office invested and built by Swire in the Far East. The East Building was designed by Xinrui in cooperation with the foreign firm. At first, it was a four-story compromise building. It is worth mentioning that the underground vault at that time was once a "feng shui treasure house" that Shanghai people flocked to. 1930 was expanded into two buildings on the west side, south and north, which were used as warehouses. 1949, with the establishment of new China, the whole building was nationalized and classified as Fenghua Ballpoint Pen Factory, also known as Fenghua Building. 1986, three independent buildings are combined into one, showing the structure of building 22 on the Bund today. In 2004, it was promoted as an excellent historical building in Shanghai. In 2009, the Bund No.22 underwent overall renovation and architectural restoration, becoming a new top commercial landmark with five floors, including a terrace with a total area of nearly 15000 square meters. 2012165438+1October 23rd, the Bund No.22 was reborn after careful carving, rebirth and baptism, and officially welcomed the distinguished guests at home and abroad.
