Brief introduction of Miao Qing

Korean monk. The year of birth and township infiltration are unknown.

According to the records in Volume 22 of Dongjian Jian, he claimed to have inherited the Taiyi jade account footwork handed down by Yu Dao Zen Master. The so-called Taiyiyu footwork is one of the popular geomantic divination methods in Korea. It is said that Miao Qing and his brother-in-law, Bai Shouhan, are familiar with the art of Yin and Yang, and confuse people, saying that they were born by accident. Sometimes Zheng Zhichang and others are convinced of his theory. At that time, Jin 'an, a trusted minister of North Korea's Injong, and Wen Gongren, both called Yang a saint. Renzong also believed it and built the Dojo. Miao Qingcheng suggested that Renzong move the capital from Shangjing (Kaicheng) to Xijing (Pyongyang), but it failed because of opposition from courtiers. In the 13th year of Injong (1 135), Miao Qing rebelled with Liu Yun and Zhao Kuang, and became famous in one fell swoop. He became a soldier of loyalty and righteousness, which was a heaven. In the following year, the chaos was quelled and Miao Qing was over. It was published in the epitaph of Yuan Yuan (three years in Zong Yi, Korea 1 149) and the epitaph of Cui Cheng (fourteen years in Zong Yi). reference data
