In fact, there are many experts in ancient folk couplets. They are not famous, but they are also very talented. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, there was a Feng Xiucai who was such a figure.
Feng Xiucai was called Feng Xiucai because he gave up the imperial examination after he was admitted to the scholar. The reason is that my father died at home and my mother was seriously ill at home. Unfortunately, Feng Xiucai had to give up the imperial examination and take care of her at home.
Although he gave up the imperial examination, Feng Xiucai still liked reading. Later, he thought about it and simply set up a private school in his hometown. Because Feng Xiucai is diligent and serious, his fame is growing, and there are more and more students in private schools.
Soon after, a new county magistrate came to the county. This county magistrate is a scholar, very talented and ambitious. As soon as he took office, he solved all the long-standing cases, and the people praised him as a good official. Occasionally, the county magistrate heard the story of Feng Xiucai, was deeply moved and went to visit.
One day, the magistrate came to Feng Xiucai's private school and met Feng Xiucai. Feng Xiucai was a little stiff when he first met such a big official, but the county magistrate said with a smile that he just wanted to make friends. Later, Feng Xiucai gradually let go, talked more and more with the county magistrate, and even felt a brief encounter.
When he left, the county magistrate said, I have a top half here. See if you can make the second half. Then I said the first part: Silkworms are worms in the world. This couplet is a spelling couplet. Adding a "worm" under "heaven" is "silkworm", which is very subtle.
Feng Xiucai thought for a moment and came up with such a bottom line: Hong is a riverside bird. It would be better to add a "bird" next to the "river", which is "Hong". The magistrate was greatly surprised after hearing this, and the two later became good friends.
Today I will tell you a very interesting couplet. The first couplet is: Zhou Yu looks at the small bridge and flowing water. What's interesting about this couplet is that the small bridge with flowing water is an idiom, in which "small bridge" is homophonic with "small bridge". Zhou Yu and Xiao Qiao were both figures in the Three Kingdoms period. Zhou Yu is personable and Xiao Qiao is beautiful. This is a perfect couple for their marriage.
For this part, many netizens gave a very classic part. For example, Hou Yi met Chang 'e and shot at the sun. In fairy tales, Houyi and Chang 'e are also husband and wife, and Houyi shooting the sun is also an idiom. I have to say that this couplet is very neat and classic.
Some netizens are right: Zhaoyun Road flies south. "Cloud Road" is the homonym of "Cloud Road", Zhao Yun and Ma Yunlu are also husband and wife in the Three Kingdoms, and flying south in the cloud road is also an idiom. It can be said that this bottom line is a classic bottom line in cleanliness and artistic conception.
