Qianlong ordered people to build the Phoenix Pier in Kunming Lake, and built a two-story Huibo Building on the pier to worship the statues of Buddha III and Anan and Ye Jia. A gold-plated copper phoenix was installed on the roof of Huibo Building. The bronze phoenix can turn with the wind and predict the wind direction. Legend has it that Daoguang gave birth to many princesses and several sons. Mr. Feng Shui said that the Phoenix was cloudy and related to the Phoenix Tower (Huibo Tower), so Daoguang ordered people to demolish the Phoenix Tower.
