The legend of Jiulong wall in Datong?

The origin of the Nine Dragons Wall is this: After Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, decided to enrich the land, he divided many of his sons into kings to defend the central government.

Zhu Gui, the thirteenth son of Zhu Yuanzhang, was made a prince when he was a child, but he didn't read poetry since he was a child, and he was stupid by nature and had a strange temper. He dared not give the stars to the moon, nor did he dare to change the pig's tail into a cow's head. Nearly twenty years old, Zhu Yuanzhang saw that he had no talent or virtue, abolished the position of prince, and made him the acting king, guarding Datong. When Dai Wang came to Datong, he was bullying in the street and often killed people for no reason. People in Datong secretly called him "the king in a daze."

It is said that when the king was 60 years old, he often wore narrow clothes and a bald hat and watched plays in the theater yard. As soon as he was happy, he went backstage to play a soldier with a trumpet, and whenever he was free, he took a few guards to make trouble in Xiaonan Street, flirting with his good wife, just like a local ruffian.

Dai Wang's wife, the daughter of General Xu Da, is an ugly and jealous bitch, although she is the daughter of the family. At one time, she painted two beautiful women wearing the king's face with the bottom of a black pot to vent her jealousy. In this way, the couple stirred up the big city and made people miserable.

After Zhu Yuanzhang abolished the position of acting crown prince, he let his four sons inherit the throne. When the contemporary king heard the news, he made a scene in Jindian, clamoring to be emperor. Zhu Yuanzhang had no choice but to build a palace in the same city, which made Dai Wang have an "emperor addiction". Therefore, the ancient city of Datong still has street names such as Emperor Street, Main Hall Street, Donghuamen and Dayoucang, all of which are ruins of the old palace. After the palace was repaired, it was difficult to gag the king.

One day, the stupefied prince suddenly remembered to go to Yan Di to see his fourth brother Judy. The prince was annoyed and afraid of his brother, but he was helpless. He had to bite the bullet and have a small banquet for three days and a big banquet for five days. One day, King Dai, full of food and drink, wandered outside the palace. He looked up and saw a newly built glazed nine-dragon wall in front of the palace. He was very happy and clamored to build one in front of Datong's palace and bring the pattern back to Datong. Dai Wang immediately called Wu's father and son, glaze workers in Wujiayao, Huairen, and ordered them to burn the dragon wall. After learning about it, Princess Xu asked that it must be "two feet longer, two feet higher and two inches thicker than Yan's Nine Dragon Wall", but Dai Wang had no choice but to agree, so the Nine Dragon Wall in Datong is by far the largest in the country, and it is not comparable to that in the Forbidden City.

Six months later, the Nine Dragon Wall was built. Outside the ceremony, colored lights were decorated and drums and music were ringing. Zhu Gui, the acting king, Xu Da, the old general, and Wang Hui, his daughter, boarded the railing of the tower to watch. It's really tall, majestic and brilliant. The glazed tiles on the top of the wall in the sun are dazzling, and the two golden Wolong on the main ridge are lifelike; Nine glazed dragons on the wall, or winding, or playing with pearls, or smoking with their heads held high; There are lions, tigers, elephants, deer, dogs, unicorns and flying horses carved in the middle of the huge Sumi Mountain. Some of them fly like flies, some look back with their tails up, and some walk step by step. The image is very clear. The entire Kowloon City Wall is 45.5 meters long, 8 meters high and 2.2 meters thick.

Leng Dai Wang Jimin was furious, drinking and shouting. After a while, it was overcast and cloudy, and it began to rain. On behalf of the king, he ordered people to hold lanterns and light candles. Soon, the red candles burned brightly and the palace lanterns were lit. Through the rain curtain, Kowloon bathes in the water on the painted wall, which is confusing and has a unique taste. Therefore, there is a saying that "dragons play in the rain". Dai Wang called "OK" again, and suddenly there was lightning and thunder in the air, and three thunders were heard one after another. Zhu Gui was surprised and the cup fell to the ground. He seemed to see two dragons falling from the sky, one black and one yellow, spitting water like a spring in front of the wall. It turns out that the dragon on the dragon wall is fake, which attracts the dragon in the sky to beg for rain. In a short time, the rainbow is in the sky, the sunset glow is red, and the dragon wall bathed by rain is even more colorful. Dai Wang sent someone to inquire about the scars on the dragon wall. The people who came back reported that the Jinbo warehouse behind the dragon wall was smashed out of two wells by thunder within three steps, and the two wells were sweet and bitter. Now it is Kimbocang's "two-step and two-eye well", and it is also a scene of Kowloon Wall. Today, there is still a saying among the people that "three steps are good for both eyes, one bitter is sweet". However, a pit was blown by thunder in front of the dragon wall, and the pit was filled with clear water, so Dai Wang built a pool in front of the wall. Nine dragons are reflected in the water, and the wind blows the water, like "Youlong playing in the water", which becomes another scene of the Nine Dragons Wall. This pool draws water from two wells. Sweet wells are for human consumption, and bitter wells can cure diseases. It is said that in the old society, there would be no "opium smoke" without this well water. So some people come from thousands of miles away to get water. This pool is called "Reflection Pool", which is the fourth scene of the Nine Dragon Wall.
