It's called Fanshan Town, a small town that is prosperous because of alum mine and blamed for mining pollution. Now, with the economic value of alum mine resources greatly reduced, the economy has plummeted, and the population of the town has lost a lot, just like another microcosm of the declining Ruhr area in Germany. The older generation is still recalling the glory and pride of the past day after day, while the new generation of young people can only take the sadness and helplessness of leaving their hometown and go to towards the distant step by step to find their own dream place.
In recent years, with the development and prosperity of the domestic tourism market, small towns have also begun to use their own advantages to develop tourism with industrial sites and natural scenery.
Economic collapse is one side of the town. Today I want to tell you about Fanshan Town on the other side. I hope you will like it, too.
1, about traditional culture
This is the junction of Fujian and Zhejiang. According to the county annals and the word of mouth of the older generation, we say that the ancestors of Minnan dialect moved to Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province because of the war, so there are still some impressions of Fujian in our traditional culture. The most striking thing is that there will be ancestral halls and temples on the mountains of every village. In the past, people with the same surname would live together. For the convenience of offering sacrifices to our ancestors, for remembering the homeland where one party can't go back, and for being a little timid as a foreigner, the ancestral temple has become more and more important. It is not only a bond to maintain blood relationship, but also a place to practice Dojo. Dinner with the same surname will be held at a fixed time every year, and people with the same surname in surrounding towns will take time to meet, eat and chat, deepen contact and help each other. With the development of modern society, people live in different places, and many traditional activities have gradually become a form. If you are interested in ancestral temple culture and Buddhism and Taoism culture, you can come here and have a look. Genealogy, temples, Buddhist temples and antique street houses will never let you down.
2. About industrial civilization
Alum, as a naturally occurring mineral, has the magical function of purifying water quality. As early as the Ming Dynasty, there was a record of mining alum ore in Fanshan, and Fanshan Town, which accounts for nearly half of the world's reserves, was also called "the alum capital of the world" by the outside world. After hundreds of years of mining history, it naturally left some different wealth to future generations.
That is, tunnels hidden in the mountains with different ages. From the traces left by these cave mining, we can also see the technical characteristics of mining industry in different historical periods. At present, the landscape construction of underground caves and mines can lead people to feel the magic of the underground world.
Because alum mine is still in production, we can still see the whole process of mining, calcination and smelting, especially the ancient calciner and crystallization tank. Moreover, because of the crystallization process of alum, a new technology, alum plastic, has a crystal clear aesthetic feeling and can be made into the shapes of various objects, which is another continuation of alum industrial civilization.
At present, there are two industrial museums in the town, one is a small museum showing the mining and industrial history of alum mine, and the other is an ore museum that collects ores from all over the world. Especially the mineral museum, if you come, you must go and see it. The four famous ancient stones in China are Shoushan Stone, Qingtian Stone, Feldspar Stone and Bahrain Stone, all of which are displayed here. In addition, all the famous ore producing areas in China have ore samples kept in museums for tourists to stop and watch. Even the meteors and meteorites in whisperd are collected, and overseas South African and Mexican local ores are also donated by fellow villagers. Because of the historical reasons of mining, many Fanshan people engaged in mineral resources all over the world have been created, and today's rich collection of ore museums is available.
About mountains and seas
Fanshan, named after the mine, naturally has a big mountain. Although this mountain is much smaller than the royal residence in Taihang, it is rare in the waters south of Zhejiang.
Heding Mountain is more than 900 meters above sea level. Because in ancient times, it was said that there was a white crane practicing immortality here, and there was a "White Crane Immortal Temple" on the top of the mountain, which stood for a long time and occupied a unique feng shui fortune after several repairs, because you could see the vast and magnificent sea beyond the mountain. The sea and mountains, the sky and the earth are so closely linked here, and the magic of nature is nothing more than this.
Moreover, the earliest coastal wind power station in China was built on the mountain, and the wind turbines standing in the sky are like guardians arranged at the top of the mountain, guarding this peaceful and serene land.
If you want to go to the seaside, you can take a half-hour bus ride to the seaside, catch fish and crabs in Doby, swim leisurely in the sea, or lie lazily on the beach chair and have a rest in the sun. If you are a cycling enthusiast, this is also a good place for you to visit. From top to bottom along Heding Mountain, there is a winding Panshan Highway for more than ten kilometers. Because of the new provincial highway, not many vehicles are willing to waste time and fuel to climb the mountain. This is the right place to ride. All the way down from the top of the mountain, there are pine forests and bamboos everywhere. How fast!
At some point, I want to go to the bamboo forest with a small hoe on my back to dig some tender bamboo shoots and pick some wild mushrooms in this season when the spring rain is as expensive as oil, and visit the small mountain village where I lived as a child.
If you are interested, please take time to visit my hometown. Thank you!
