Does the geology of Hetao Plain belong to a faulted basin?

Yes, the Hetao Plain is a closed and long-term subsidence inland fault basin in geological structure. The basement of the basin is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. In the late Pleistocene, due to the formation of the Yellow River and its repeated diversions, the alluvial layer of the Yellow River covered the lacustrine sediments and gradually formed the present landform. The landform is mainly composed of alluvial plain of the Yellow River and alluvial plain in front of Yinshan Mountain.
