The reason why I chose to shoot zombie series was also related to the film environment in Hong Kong at that time. Around 1995, zombie movies were out of fashion in Hong Kong, and no one invested in them. Mr. Lin personally directed the "Mr. Zombie" from his own pocket. Two years after filming, 1997, the Taoist priest died suddenly. Since then, there has been no leader in Hong Kong's film industry, and the zombie film of Lin style has since disappeared!
Second, zombie movies with oriental characteristics.
The European and American "paper-paste" zombies, which mainly focus on "The Walking Dead", have too much fighting power. In order to stimulate the secretion of adrenaline, zombies in Europe and America have been weakened too tragically. As long as their brains are watts, they can't stand up. In China, at least in Ching-Ying Lam's movies, the existence of zombies is almost demonized. It is simply the existence of the world's boss. Unlike the spread of viruses in Europe and America, most zombies in China have their own ways and practices. This is especially true in Zombie Lord, and Yang Yunfei, who turned himself into the "invincible zombie king" through cultivation, is the best example. Because of the length, there is more time to tell the story of how the lecturer appeared. Lin Daochang also wants to explain to fans through this film where the powerful power of zombies comes from. When I started filming the third film, the Taoist priest died, which also left a great foreshadowing for the connection between the forest zombies and unofficial history in the Qing Dynasty.

This time, I shot 50 episodes in one breath, which caused a greater sensation. The brazen ATV company found business opportunities and made a door-to-door visit to prepare to invest in Zombie Master 3. But in the same year, Lin Daochang died in Hong Kong, and Zombie Master 3 aborted.
If Hong Kong films at that time were pawns of China films, then Ching-Ying Lam was the flag in the hands of pawns. As soon as the battle flag falls, the team loses its direction, and no matter how fast the pawn runs, it loses its motivation to move forward and poses no threat to the enemy.
