Why was Su Shi buried in jia county?

Su Shi, alias Su Dongpo, whose real name is Zi Zhan and whose real name is Dongpo Jushi, was born in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, and is an authentic Sichuanese. He is a typical representative of literature in Song Dynasty, representing the peak of literature development at that time.

Su Shi was influenced by Buddhism and Taoism all his life and showed different thoughts and feelings at different stages of his life. Su Shi suffered a lot in his life, but he was never defeated by fate. Su Shi followed his father to Beijing to take the imperial examination in his early years. He should have won the first place, but due to the misunderstanding of Ouyang Xiu, the examiner at that time, Su Shi only got the second place. Ouyang Xiu mistakenly thought that this article was written by his student Ceng Gong. In order to avoid suspicion, Su Shi had to take the second place. But this does not prevent Su Shi's literary fame from spreading far and wide and being praised and appreciated by other literati. At that time, Ouyang Xiu commented: "This person can be described as a good reader and a good reader, and his articles will be unique in the world in the future."

As a literati, Su Shi often expresses his thoughts and feelings in his poems, sometimes mixed with his own political views. It is these personal articles that have been caught by the new party. Just three months after Su Shi took office, there was a Wutai poetry case involving dozens of people. Wutai Poetry Case became a turning point in Su Shi's life. Although with the help and rescue of many friends, Su Shi was finally saved from jail, but he was demoted to Huangzhou Yong ying assistant, losing his real power and his position was quite humble. At this time, Su Shi became disheartened and frustrated. But he was born optimistic and open-minded, and soon adjusted his mood.

However, fate gave him a heavy blow. On the way to work in Ruzhou, his youngest son died unfortunately because of the bumpy road. The early death of the youngest son and the unsmooth official career dealt a double blow to Su Shi. Under such a blow, Su Shi applied to the court not to continue working in Ruzhou, but to stay in Changzhou to settle down. With the consent of the court, Su Shi returned to Changzhou to live. Changzhou has developed transportation, prosperous economy and beautiful scenery, which meets the needs of Su Shi's sightseeing. Far from Beijing, there is no political intrigue and food and clothing. Su Shi and his family lived very comfortably here, and finally chose Changzhou as their burial place.

However, since then, Su Shi has been demoted many times because of his disagreement with senior officials of the imperial court. He was 62 years old, and the white-haired Su Shi was banished to Hainan, a wild place at that time. Bold and broad-minded, Su Shi once again stood up from the blow of fate. He likes food and found all kinds of delicious food in Hainan. He is so happy that he regards Hainan as his second hometown. He teaches in Hainan and attracts a large number of students to study. People in Danzhou respect and admire this cultural communicator and pioneer.

After Su Shi's death, Su Shi's son buried him in Ruzhou, now Henan, according to Su Shi's wishes. The ancients paid attention to "returning the fallen leaves to the roots", so why was Su Shi, whose ancestral home was Meishan, Sichuan, not buried in his hometown, but in Henan? Su Shi has deep feelings for Ruzhou. When Su Shi worked in Ruzhou, his younger brother Su Zhe happened to work in Ruzhou. The two brothers are finally together, so naturally they often get together to play and enjoy the scenery and rivers in Ruzhou. When the two brothers were playing in Jia County, Ruzhou, they found that Jia County was not only a treasure trove of geomantic omen, but also a place where the wind hid and gas gathered. The mountains were mountainous and beautiful, just like Meishan, their hometown. So the two brothers met for a hundred years and were buried here together.

Su Shi was buried in Ruzhou, which not only realized his wish to get together with his younger brother Su Zhe, but also made Ruzhou look like his hometown and satisfied Su Shi's homesickness. In Song Dynasty, jia county was very prosperous in geomantic omen and humanities. There are many big cities around, and there are tombs of the Song Dynasty. As a cemetery, this is an excellent place. After Su Shi and Su Zhe were buried in Ruzhou, their descendants also settled here, forming two Su villages.
