Historical background of Jieyang ancient tomb

Li Yuying, the owner of the tomb, is diligent, studious, moral-minded, filial-minded, literary, and good at poetry and meter. He is a model of that era. He served as an official in the early Qing Dynasty, more than 300 years ago, and his descendants are all over Fumei Village (ancestral home), Hetou Village, Xinpu Village in Lihu Town of Puning City, Xindaili Village in Biejiang Town of Huilai County, Jiazi Village of Lufeng City, Chaoyang District of Shantou City, Chenghai District, Hainan and other places. Among the descendants in China are senior party and government cadres, patriotic overseas Chinese leaders, chairman of charity associations, president of Chaoshan Group and other celebrities.

The tomb is a famous local treasure trove of geomantic omen, and everyone who has seen it praises it as a very rare and representative Chaoshan tomb in Qing Dynasty. Every spring equinox or Tomb-Sweeping Day, hundreds of descendants come to worship, and thousands of descendants at home and abroad come thousands of miles to worship.
