Rose taboo

1. Avoid sending red roses on mourning occasions. In the traditional culture of China, red symbolizes a festive atmosphere, and sending red roses will make people feel inappropriate.

2. Avoid sending red roses in love. In western culture, red roses symbolize passion, romance and love, but in China, red roses may be regarded as too strong and straightforward expression, which is unconventional.

3. Pay attention to the bouquet etiquette. If you send a bunch of roses, pay attention to the number of bouquets. In China culture, roses have auspicious meanings, but even and odd rose bouquets have different meanings. For example, sending 13 roses in China will be considered as a hint of imp and disaster.

Don't put roses in the bedroom. In China's traditional geomantic theory, the bedroom is a place to rest and recharge, so it is not suitable for having too strong floral fragrance. The fragrance of roses is so strong that it is not suitable for use in the bedroom.

5. Don't light white candles with red roses. In the folk, white candles are important for activities such as ancestor worship and seeing off patients, so roses and white candles should not be matched.
