Kunyang Town, Jinning County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province is located on the south bank of the beautiful Dian Lake. It is the township where the county seat is located. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It is located in the north of the central part of the county, 62 kilometers away from the urban area. . It borders Shangsuan Township and Dianchi Lake to the east, Baofeng Town to the south, Erjie Township to the west, and Haikou Town in Xishan District to the north. Kunluo Highway, Anjin Highway, Kunyu Highway and Kunyu Railway cross the border. The Kunming-Yuzhou Railway has two railway stations in Zhongyi Village and Chuying Village, providing convenient transportation and communications. The town's Dianchi Lake is 28.9 kilometers along the lake, and there are more than 2,000 acres of aquaculture along the Dianchi Lake. The town has 4,613 hectares of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 38.5%.
