Heaven and earth are humble, and mountains are flat. (Zhuangzi Tianxia)
Note ① Simple: The terrain is low. ② Ze: A depression with stagnant water.
Translation as low as the earth; The mountain is as flat as a jersey.
This comment is the third proposition in Hui Shi's Ten Things to Experience. Relationship judgment in logic (that is, judgment reflecting a certain relationship between objects). The so-called relationship is always relative, depending on what the standard is. According to common sense, heaven and earth are not at the same height, and mountains and rivers are not at the same level. In a certain space, the sky is higher than the earth, and the mountains are higher than the mountains. But from another perspective, the height of the sky is relative to the height of the earth, and the height of the mountain is relative to the height of the river. Moreover, in fact, there are cases where the depth of a high mountain is as high as that of a low-lying mountain, and even the lake on the high mountain is indeed higher than the mountain on the plain. In fact, by explaining that the difference between high and low is not absolute, it shows that the relationship between things is variable and differences can be transformed into indifference.
