In the south of the western ocean, there is a village called Dongjing, which is hidden in the arms of' Harvest Yellow'. As for the village name Dongjing, I always thought it was normal and common when I was a child. Out of curiosity, I often think: Why did ancestors take such a name?
According to adults, Dongjing Village was originally named Genzhu Village. In the Ming Dynasty, ancestors dug wells to get water and found a stone tablet engraved with the word "Cave Sutra" at the bottom of the well. The villagers thought it was the apocalypse, so they changed their names to Dongjing Village.
The name of the village is connected with this well, and there are endless stories about this well. The villagers built the shaft wall into a square, and the wellhead into a gourd shape (oval), named' gourd well'. Although the well is not dug deep, the water quality is excellent, clear and transparent, sweet and delicious. Well water can be drunk directly. Villagers often fill well water with kettles and then take them to work in the fields. When they are thirsty, they can drink at any time. Cooking porridge in this well will not turn sour even if it stays overnight.
There is a Leizhou ballad circulating in the village, which tells its magic: gourd well water is precious water, and all hair is eaten; Live ugly, eat beautiful, thin dizzy, eat fat. The well water in Hulujing is quite good. Even people with dry and dull hair will become smooth and shiny after drinking well water, and ugly daughter-in-law will become beautiful, thin and strong.
On the other side of Hulu well, there is another well with a square wall, but it looks like ancient copper coins outside, so the villagers in the village named it' Copper Coin Well'. The well water of' Tongqianjing' is sweet and delicious, and the water quality is as good as that of' Hulujing'. There is also a popular song praising it: copper well water is golden water, and well water education is lucky. Every family is rich in gold and silver, healthy and rich. According to legend, in the early Qing Dynasty, a small vendor in the village delivered goods to Hainan, and was blocked in the mainland in case of typhoon. It rained all night when the house leaked. He was suddenly ill, unable to eat or drink, and weak. He thought he would be buried in another place. As soon as the typhoon stopped in two days, he was afraid that the body would be put away and quickly hired someone to send him back to his hometown. It may be that the water and soil in other places are not suitable, but when I get home, I don't know how to cure it. It's just that my family takes good care of me, and the vendors are getting better every day. The villagers think this is the magic created by two wells.
According to the analysis of the elders in the village, the left and right layout of' Hulujing' and' Tongqian Well' constitutes the' Longan' in Dongjing Village. The inside and outside of' Hulujing' contains the art of integrity, backbone and the golden mean. The inside and outside of' Copper Money Well' implies being an upright person and taking money wisely. Two ordinary wells are entrusted with the good wishes of their ancestors.
Well water seems to be inexhaustible in these two wells. People in the village love to use well water, especially in the midsummer evening, men are busy carrying water back and forth in two vats so that the old people at home can cook. Hard-working women are scattered on the bluestone board in the shade of the well, scrubbing clothes and cleaning utensils. The children who come back from school are like birds breaking through the cage. They put down their schoolbags and ran wild in the fish pond by the well. Smoke billows from cooking stoves, hardworking villagers and innocent village children constitute a vivid and unique pastoral painting.
With the construction of the water tower in the village, every household uses tap water. The old well was crowded, and the lively scene disappeared, leaving only the lonely figure of the well. Fortunately, this well is well protected. Although no one used well water, the well water in the old well did not dry up or overflow. The old well has not been abandoned in the passing time, and I can recall it by the well. I sat on the fence of the' copper money well' in the shade of the tree, carefully looked at the shaft wall honed by years, rubbed the old bluestone fence, and couldn't help showing it in front of my eyes like a movie.
More than 20 years ago, with the support of people of insight in the village, they overcame difficulties and actively set up a "student union", trying their best to raise funds and create a good atmosphere of respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching. In the subsequent practice, they explored a set of "hole classics model" to promote teaching and learning, and more and more people were admitted to colleges and universities every year. More and more Tokyo people appear in all walks of life in the province. Someone wrote a poem of Leizhou Song: Leizhou will become Zou Lu, and people will learn from their teachers from all directions. Let a hundred flowers blossom and pay equal attention to culture and education, and Tokyo will surely become a model.
The name of hometown comes from "well". The villagers were originally confined to village wells and stuck in Dongjing, almost frogs at the bottom of the well. However, in today's respect for teachers and education, groups of children go outside to break into a new world, win glory for the village and win everyone's respect. Now, following the tide of new rural construction, with the careful planning of the children who go out, we plan to build a series of projects such as Decheng historical materials exhibition hall, cultural park, official culture square and water park, including old wells, fish ponds and ancestral temples, with the theme of' Zhou Decheng's spirit of being honest and upright in the Ming Dynasty'. The hometown will usher in amazing changes, and people can't help but look forward to it.
Over the years, the old well has become a unique scene, which has been stretching my homesickness. I know that my thoughts will never leave the old well in my hometown.
