Why is Wangfujing famous?

Wangfujing Street is next to East Chang 'an Street, which is one of the most prosperous commercial streets in Beijing. Why is it called Wangfujing? According to the records of Yanjing's visit to the ancient times, the building of the Wangfu here began in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and it is here that the "Yan Wangfu in Sui Dynasty, the handsome mansion of Wang Luoyi in Peiping" is still known as the Shuaifuyuan. Luo Yi is the father of Luo Cheng in the novel {Romance of Sui and Tang Dynasties}, and Tang Gaozong named Luo Yi the Prince of Yan, who was in charge of Youzhou and built the Prince's Mansion here. By the Ming Dynasty, with the construction of the Forbidden City, many dignitaries built palaces here, and there was a well known for its high-quality sweet water on the west side of the street, so it was called Ten Wangfu, Wangfu Street and Wangfujing Street according to the Records of Emperor Chengzu of Ming Dynasty. In the streets of this street, there are still sites of Shuaifu, Ruanfu, Kongfu and Xiagongfu. In the Qing dynasty, it was still the place where princes and county kings lived together. For example, the Shuaifu in Sui and Tang Dynasties became the Yu Palace of Duo Duo, the fifteenth son of Qing Taizu. In the northwest of today's Oriental Plaza, it is the top scholar's mansion of Emperor Guangxu's teacher and senior minister Weng Tongxie. In the west of the department store, it is the auxiliary government of the general of Taosai Town, the tenth son of Qing Taizong. Therefore, the origin of the name Wangfujing is closely related to the numerous palaces built here by powerful people in previous dynasties. Therefore, Zhongnanhai is the residence of emperors of past dynasties, and Wangfujing is the residence of princes of past dynasties. Both places have excellent feng shui. Nowadays, business is all about geomantic omen, so Wangfujing is favored by major enterprise groups and has become the most prosperous business gathering area in Beijing.
