Ningdu city east, Meijiang river winds through, one kilometer to the south, forming a deep pool, which is said to be Nie Long's lair. The dragon caused a flood and flooded the city. Under the guidance of the high road, the people in the city planned to build a tower in the pool to kill the dragon, so they threw a lot of stones, but because the dragon used witchcraft to turn the stones into nothing, they could not lay the foundation stone. At this time, farmer Bai Ye donated his cornucopia and put the stones in the pool. Just built a stone mountain, built the Shuikou Tower on the mountain, to curb the dragon. Therefore, Shuikou Tower is also called "Town Demon Tower". The dragon strangled by Shuikou Tower didn't dare to make a move, but he was always on tenterhooks, always looking for revenge. In order to completely subdue the dragon, people built the Yongning Temple in the south of Shuikou Tower. Since then, the dragon has often been overturned by the dharma nectar, and the holy water is full of kindness and no longer does evil. Ningdu City is flood-free and safe, and the whole Ningdu City is increasingly prosperous. Yongning Temple and Shuikou Tower were built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty at the same time, and the temple was built because of the tower. In the fifth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1666), Cai Chengyu rebuilt it. Yongning Temple was originally called "Yongning Temple" and was renamed "Taxia Temple" in Qing Dynasty. During the Cultural Revolution, the temple was destroyed and renamed after reconstruction in the 1980s. Before the "Cultural Revolution", the temple was small, with three earthen houses, covering an area of only 100 square meters. After the "Cultural Revolution", the scale of rebuilt temples has been continuously expanded, with a building area of more than 3,000 square meters, and the building quality is better than before. There are more than forty permanent residents in the temple. In recent years, Hong Kong Jushilai Temple has held many land and water dharma meetings. Laymen in Guangzhou, Nanchang and Ganzhou often come to worship Buddha, and Yongning Temple has become an influential Buddhist temple in Jiangxi. Yongning Temple faces south with its back to Shuikou Tower. After the reconstruction of the temple, Daxiong Hall, Zhenjun Hall, Tibetan Scripture Building, Zhaitang, Monk's Room and Guest Room were built year by year. A few years ago, due to the need of development, monk Yicheng, vice president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, was invited to visit the site. With the participation of professional technicians and the consent of the government, the master plan for temple expansion was drawn. According to the plan, Daxiong Hall was built in 1996, with double height, double eaves, hilltop style, steel-concrete structure, glazed tile roof, antique and resplendent. The statues of Buddha III, Ananda, Ye Jia, Manjusri and Pu Xian carved in the temple are dignified and respectable. There are also woodcarving palace lanterns and three Zhang Long incense tables in the hall, all of which are decorated with three-dimensional or semi-three-dimensional relief patterns. The contents are all stories related to Buddhism, landscape flowers and birds, which are vivid and vivid, and are really artistic treasures. On the right side of the temple, Yinci, which is built on the mountain, and Shannan Puta, executive director of the Chinese Buddhist Association and vice president of the Jiangxi Buddhist Association, are made of marble, which is solemn and majestic.
