What is the working principle of gas-liquid separator?

Working principle:

In the process of cooling or pressurizing saturated gas, some condensable gas components will form small droplets and flow with the gas.

The function of gas-liquid separator is to treat the gas containing a small amount of condensate oil and realize condensate oil recovery or gas phase purification.

Its structure is generally a pressure vessel, and there are related air intake components and droplet capture components inside.

Usually, the gas is output from the upper part and the liquid phase is collected from the lower part.

The vapor-liquid separation tank is an internal component, such as a wire mesh defoamer or baffle, to further condense and discharge the liquid entrained in the gas, thereby removing the liquid.

Separation principle:

1. Use different mass (weight) of the components to separate the mixture (such as separation method 1, 2, 3, 6). The density of gas and liquid is different, and the mass of gas is smaller than that of liquid under the same volume.

Secondly, the mixture is separated by using dispersion systems with different particle sizes (for example, separation methods 4 and 5). The molecular aggregation state of liquid is different from that of gas. Gas molecules are far away, while liquid molecules are much closer, so gas particles are smaller than liquid particles.
