Ma Wu Expressway refers to the expressway from Ma Jiang Town to Wuzhou, starting from Fozitun, Sanhekou Village, Ma Jiang Town, Zhaoping County, Hezhou City, passing through Shizhai, Changfa, Ruicun, Daqiao, Shimao, Wotian, Dachong and Tian Fei, ending at Baocun Village, Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, and connecting with Cenwu Expressway and the planned outer ring road of Wuzhou City. The connecting line between the main line and Wuzhou is designed as a two-way four-lane expressway, and the connecting branch line of Wuzhou is designed as a first-class highway standard.
The Majiang-Wuzhou Expressway is 76 kilometers long, of which the main line is 69 kilometers long, the Wuzhou connecting line is 4.2 kilometers long and the Wuzhou connecting branch line is 2.4 kilometers long. The design speed from Majiang to Daoshui section is 80km/h, and the subgrade width is 24.5m: the design speed from Daoshui to terminal section is 100 km/h, and the subgrade width is 26 m.. In the bridge construction of Ma Wu Expressway, SBS modified asphalt bonded waterproof layer was used to replace the permanent condensate waterproof structure, which significantly improved the high temperature stability and low temperature crack resistance of the pavement and improved the waterproof effect of the bridge deck. The biggest feature of this highway is tunnel construction. Seven tunnels have been built in Ma Wu Expressway, of which the longest Chazijiao tunnel is 3.3 kilometers long.
As the last section of Guiwu Expressway, the opening of Ma Wu Expressway is the last pass to realize the whole expressway from Guilin to Wuzhou. After the completion of Guiwu Expressway, the travel time from Wuzhou to Guilin was greatly shortened.
Guiwu Expressway starts from Lingui County, Guilin, connects Lingchuan to the end of the third section of Guilin National Road, passes through Mamian, Liutang, Grape, Baisha and Wuzhou, and ends at Longyanzui, with a total length of 346 kilometers (including 30 kilometers of Hezhou branch line).
Ma Wu Expressway is an important part of the branch line from Arun Banner to Beihai Highway, Nanning to Wuzhou to Guilin, among the eight inter-provincial highways in the national western development plan.
