How are North Africa, South Africa, East Africa, West Africa and Central Africa divided?

North Africa, South Africa, East Africa, West Africa and Central Africa are divided according to different geographical locations, as shown in the following figure:

1, North Africa mainly refers to northern Africa, the area near the Mediterranean coast and the area north of the Sahara desert. North Africa mainly includes six countries: Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Sudan. The important cultural characteristics of North Africa are Arab culture and Islamic culture.

2. South Africa mainly refers to southern Africa and related islands. South Africa is the southernmost tip of Africa, with the Indian Ocean in the east and the Atlantic Ocean in the west. South Africa mainly includes Botswana, South Africa and other 13 countries. South Africa ranks first in the world in terms of mineral reserves and output.

3. East Africa mainly refers to eastern Africa. East Africa borders Eritrea to the north, the Indian Ocean to the east and the Ruuma River to the south. East Africa mainly includes Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Mauritius, Zambia and other 19 countries. The topography of East Africa is mainly plateau, and the climate is mainly savanna.

4. West Africa mainly refers to the western region of Africa. West Africa is located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Guinea, south of the Sahara Desert. It has Lake Chad to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. West Africa mainly includes Nigeria, Guinea, Mauritania and other 16 countries.

5. Central Africa mainly refers to the central part of the African continent. The northern part of Central Africa is Tibesti Plateau and Sahara Desert, and the southern part is Ronda-Katanga Plateau and Congo Basin. Central Africa mainly includes nine countries including Congo, Central African Republic, Chad and Cameroon.
