Liu Yin, a poet in the Yuan Dynasty, wrote in "The Yanghe Gate of Dengzhen Mansion": "Look at the clouds in the north and the stars in the east. One day, people listen to duckweed. "
In the Ming Dynasty, Yuan Hongdao praised this place in Wang Juncheng's "Inviting to Drink Yanghe Tower" that "ten bamboo flags shine on the water, and every family plays flute and drum. Qianfeng is like a glass of wine, but if it is unclear, it will be idle. "
The Southern Song Dynasty philosopher Zhu inscribed the square tablet of "Embracing the Knee" embedded in the center of the building. During the reign of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, a "wide and brilliant" horizontal plaque was hung on the north side of the building.
Many scholars and dignitaries are building luxury houses near Yanghe Building. Not far from the north of this building, there are the royal archway and the Liang ancestral hall of the minister of the Taibao Prince of the Ming Dynasty. The Jiaolin Bookstore of Liang Qingbiao, a university student in Baohe Hall in Qing Dynasty, is also nearby. The novel "Visiting the Ancient Times" written by Naxin in Yuan Dynasty reads: "There are two tile markets, excellent prostitutes, wine and tea stoves, and wealthy businessmen and merchants gathered here", which shows the prosperity here.
The south street where Yanghe Building is located is the historical central axis of Zhengding City, and it is called "Long Mai": Yanghe Building and Guandi Temple are the leaders, and Wang Longtang is the north end of the city. The dragon's eyes are the two doorways of Yanghe Building, the dragon's front face is the platform of Guandi Temple, the dragon's beard is the two flagpoles of Guandi Temple, and the dragon's nose is the two semicircular temple platforms protruding outward in front of Guandi Temple.
"Zhengding County Records" contains: 1489 (the second year of Ming Hongzhi) "The Hutuo River overflowed and destroyed the city wall. The flood entered from the southwest corner of the city and flowed out from the northeast corner. There are countless dead people in the city, and there are only dozens of survivors around Yanghe Building. " It can be seen that Yanghe Building is a treasure trove of geomantic omen, and the "Dragon Ridge" rises here.
China ancient architectural experts have visited Zhengding for four times and made in-depth research on Yanghe Building. 1933, Mr. Liang Sicheng came to Zhengding from "Beiping". "Yanghe Building and the county Confucian Temple have two major discoveries." Mr. Liang has a special liking for Yanghe Building: "Walking northbound along South Street, it was quickly blocked by a tall building. There was a high brick platform with seven temples on it. The forehead was called Yanghe Building, and there were two holes below, which divided the street into two places ... This is the Yanghe Building scenic spot in the county annals. When Mr. Liang Sicheng boarded the Yanghe Building, he wrote down the feeling of "seeing four pagodas on the threshold" and "looking at Heng Yue in the north, swimming in the water in the south, watching the sunny haze of Taihang Mountain on the right and the rising sun on the sea on the left". Mr. Liang Sicheng also took many photos of Yanghe Building. Most of the photos of Yanghe Building that can be seen now were taken by Liang Sicheng.
