This time I went to Lantau again and finally got a geographical concept of Lantau. Lantau Island is an outlying island of Hong Kong and is connected with the main island of Hong Kong through Tung Chung Center. As the largest island in Hong Kong, Lantau Island is located in the western waters of Hong Kong with mountainous terrain. Phoenix Mountain is 934 meters above sea level, which is the second highest peak in Hong Kong. There is a small piece of flat land under the mountain stream on Lantau Island, and the most densely populated place on the island is Da 'ao Town in the southwest. Many Hong Kong people will go to Lantau Island on weekends or holidays.
This time we went to Gouyaling and Fenghuang Mountain. The team is led by Elder Martial Sister Qing and Elder Martial Brother Xu Nong. They often camp on foot in Hong Kong and envy others. Brothers and sisters, I, brother Xi and sister Wen Wen took a bus through Shenzhen Bay and arrived at the Tung Chung Fire Station, where we met friends from Wei Bei, Wei Bei and Mix. We bought things together at citygate, took a bus to the bus stop in Shibi, and started our mountain climbing trip here.
As soon as we arrived at Shibi Bus Station, our brothers and sisters took us to see Shibi Prison. This prison is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with a green dragon on the left and a white tiger on the right. 180-degree invincible sea view room is simply excellent in feng shui. Prisoners in Hong Kong are so happy. I hope that the excellent geomantic omen in Lantau can make people who make mistakes reflect on themselves and cultivate their self-cultivation!
In the Shibi bus station, you can already see the Tiantan Buddha, Gouyaling and Fenghuang Mountain in the fog in the distance.
We crossed the street and started today's mountain climbing trip. At first, Lantau Island gave us a fright. We climbed a steep slope of about 50 meters and came to a platform. When we arrived at the platform, several girls were panting. Brother Xi and his brother were of course calm. I ate some snacks here to replenish my strength, and then moved on. There is an inconspicuous path on the left. Go along this road for about 100 meters until you see a sign that says this road is dangerous and climbing is not recommended. This sign was originally a warning to remind the public not to climb, but it became a sign when it arrived at the donkey friend. On the sign here, we walked through a few meters of sparse Woods and came to a relatively open place. In the distance, the Gully Ridge began to show its wonders and precipitousness, while the Phoenix Peak was dense in the fog.
I saw the dog tooth ridge from the angle of the drone on Baidu video. Both sides were particularly dangerous, as if I accidentally fell off a cliff. Brother Xu Nong also said that friends who crossed the dog tooth ridge generally don't want to come again. Another friend told him that his legs were weak on the road after going down the mountain, which shows that the road is very steep. But I'm not afraid. People who cross the Sanshui line should not be particularly afraid of the route. Sure enough, the mountains were steep along the way, and we enjoyed the great rivers and mountains. It's just that the air on the mountain is humid and windy, so we have to take off our windbreaker and put it on again. After climbing several steep peaks, at around 1 point, we had lunch next to a relatively flat rock, and brought many snacks in the north latitude to share with you. The most surprising thing is the super cherry brought by Xi's brother. He can eat such delicious fruit snacks on the road and on the mountain. It can be said that it is amazing and awesome. Take photos after lunch and leave.
The next route to take is the dangerous Gouyaling Peak, and you can only climb the nearly vertical road with your hands and feet.
The general trend of several hills in Gouyaling is to the left. After dinner, we climbed to the highest peak, Phoenix Peak, where we gradually met Hong Kong hikers of all colors. We just know that this place belongs to the third section of Phoenix Trail, and finally we have reached the official route! On the way to the top of Phoenix, I was still very tired. I saw the top in front, and when I reached the top, I found the higher top in the back. In this way, I climbed for a while and finally reached the second peak in Hong Kong. It's windy and cold here, but I am still excited to climb to the top of the mountain.
There is a shelter at the top of the mountain. It is actually relatively clean to go in and have a look, and there are two long stools to sit on. It can be seen that the Hong Kong government is very caring and meticulous, and it can also be seen that the cultural atmosphere of hiking in Hong Kong is better. There is a horizontal frosted glass table next to the Gao Feng brand, which is painted with the north-south direction, and also marked with the direction of the sun rising and setting all the year round from the winter solstice to the summer solstice, which is a popular science. If you take your children out to play, you can also study by the way. Very good.
After playing at the top of the mountain for a while, I went down the mountain in the direction of Bogong 'ao. On the way down the mountain, Mix accidentally slipped and hurt his knee, only to find that his skin was broken later. Fortunately, Brother Xi, who is experienced outdoors, brought a cotton swab and a band-aid, and after water treatment, he stuck it on the band-aid and continued on his way.
On the way down the mountain, the road is relatively flat and Miscanthus can be seen everywhere. Perhaps it's because of the strong wind here. The awn grass is not as long as that in Huidong Nanshan, but it has a different scenery.
It's only after 3 o'clock in Bogong 'ao, so we are going to have a stroll, stretch our muscles and come back. Today, the whole journey is about 8km, which takes more than 4 hours. Everyone is in good physical strength, and it is quite happy to go out to play with such a group of friends with good physical strength. I was deeply impressed by the danger of Gouyaling and the fog of Phoenix Mountain. I plan to come back next spring, hoping to meet the sea of clouds.
