The hymn of Twilight River
Tang-Bai Juyi
The sun sets,
Half the river rustles and half the river is red.
Poor night of September 3rd,
Dew is like a real pearl, and the moon is like a bow.
1, the setting sun in the water: refers to the afterglow of the sunset reflected on the river surface, forming bright light.
2. Half-river rustling and half-river red: describes the river trembling in the breeze, showing a scene of half-lake red. The red color here refers to the color of the sunset reflected on the river.
3. Poor third night in September: It expresses the poet's feelings about the passage of time and beautiful moments. The third day of September refers to a specific day when the poet feels regret and loss.
4. Dewdrops are like pearls, and the moon is like a bow: it depicts the night scene in a metaphorical way. Dew, like a real pearl, means the dew at night is crystal clear, and the moon, like a bow, refers to the shape of the first quarter moon.
5. The whole sentence expresses the poet's feelings about the fleeting time, the passage of time and the brevity of life by depicting the river scenery at dusk and the beautiful scenery at night.
