Pingzhai-Pingzhai is located on the north bank of Linxi River. A mountain extending to the Linxi River is the barrier at the southern end of the village, and another towering hill separates Pingzhai from Dazhai. You can't eat dumbbells in Pingchuan between two mountains. A stream flows from east to west and finally flows into Linxi River. Pingzhaizi's houses are mainly located in the north of this stream, concentrated at the confluence of Xiaoxi River and Linxi River. The village economy is mainly based on planting glutinous rice, and the trees on the mountain mainly include camellia oleifera, tea, Chinese fir, camphor tree, maple and grass. The main part of the stockade is located on the Linxi River, and the local houses near the north hillside are the densest. It is the core residential area of the stockade, and it is also the place where the ancestors of the village first settled in the stockade. There are mainly five roads in the village, all paved with bluestone slabs, and some of them have a history of hundreds of years. There used to be a stockade at the exit of these five roads, among which the southwest stockade facing Linxi River and the southeast stockade connecting the present highway are the best preserved stockades among the eight stockades in Chengyang. The streams, ponds and springs next to the villagers' homes in Zhaizi constitute the water system of Pingzhai. The hill to the north of Zhaizhai is the Feng Shui Mountain of Pingzhai. There is a towering old tree beside the hill, which is a geomantic tree in the eyes of the villagers and guards the peace of the village. In Pingzhaizi Village, there are the old drum tower built in the first year of Qing Daoguang (A.D. 182 1), the new drum tower built in 20 14, the comprehensive cultural building, and the "Dragon" wind and rain bridge with two spans, three piers and two floors on the Linxi River in the southwest of Zhaizhai.
