Song Liang is from Li Long Street, Penghua (now Dapeng Town) in Pingnan. He was the No.1 high school student in the first year of Bailong in the Southern Han Dynasty (925). Later, he resigned and returned to his hometown because of his dissatisfaction with tyranny, and fought for a year's tax exemption for the people of the Duke of Zhou. Unfortunately, when he came to the mouth of Dong Hao River on a white horse, he was drowned by the flood. In order to thank him, Pingnan people built a scholar temple in Baimaxu. The tablet gallery is engraved with litchi poems written when he won the top prize and litchi poems with the motif of Fu Dai when he resigned.
The "General Trilateral Square" built in memory of Yuan Chonghuan is13.38m high, with antique designs on the square tablet, which is majestic and solemn. The house on the top of Xitang Wharf in Baimawei is Yuan Chonghuan's former residence. Yuan Chonghuan, a native of Dongguan, Guangdong Province, was admitted as a scholar. At the critical moment of foreign invasion and national survival, he devoted himself to serving the country, but was framed by traitors. However, his patriotic feelings inspired generations of Duke Zhou's sons and daughters.
