Simeitu is his masterpiece, also known as Simeitu and Siqing Painting. Known as the classic of Mo Mei painting, it is now collected in the Palace Museum in Beijing. There are four plum blossoms in this painting, which show four stages: budding, Chun Mei blooming, plum blossom blooming and withering. 2. Wang Mian in the Yuan Dynasty.
Wang Mian was a famous painter at the end of Yuan Dynasty. He loved plum blossoms all his life, planted them, painted Yongmei, attacked them and painted them. The plum blossoms he painted are dense, full of business, vigorous and powerful, which has a great influence on future generations. If we want to talk about the famous plum blossom paintings, we should recommend Wang Mian's "The Picture of the Lost Plum", which is now in the Palace Museum. This painting is different from Wang Mian's previous plum paintings. Its success lies not in its profundity, but in its sparseness and simplicity. He vividly conveyed the lofty sentiments of the plum blossom and entrusted the lonely and aloof literati feelings with his pure brushwork. This painting is a masterpiece of plum painting in his later years, which left a great impression on later generations and had a far-reaching impact on the painting circles in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
