Zhengjue Temple in Dunhua is a little-known ancient temple in the northeast of China and the largest Buddhist Zhong Ni Dojo in the world.

It is no stranger to name the ancient temple. There are many ancient Buddhist temples in China, the most famous of which are five famous Buddhist mountains and five Buddha statues. For Buddhist believers and tourists, it is not only a Buddhist holy land, but also a famous Buddhist cultural tourist attraction. While appreciating Buddhist culture, you can also appreciate the magnificence of the great rivers and mountains of the motherland.

Not long ago, I traveled to Dunhua City, Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province, where I met an ancient temple and a giant Buddha, namely "Zhengjue Temple". Zhengjue Temple is located on the south bank of Mudanjiang, about 7 kilometers south of Dunhua City. It is an ancient temple in the northeast of China. Many cities in China have Zhengjue Temple, but the Zhengjue Temple in Dunhua is the one that impressed me the most, especially the architecture and the giant Buddha here.

Zhengjue Temple in Dunhua was built in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty and has a history of hundreds of years. Its original site is not here, at the foot of Changbai Mountain. Zhengjue Temple originally covered an area of about 30 mu and had 32 houses. The past dynasties were presided over by Kong Wei, Zunguo, Xingyun and Buddhism, but it was destroyed by war and housing development in the 1980s, and there was no tile left in the Zhengjue Temple on the original site.

The reconstruction of Zhengjue Temple has a lot to do with Buddhist monks. Without Buddhist monks, Zhengjue Temple would not be today.

/kloc-During 0/977, a Buddhist monk living in the United States built the "Yuantong Temple" in new york, and later renamed it the "Lower Hall of Zhengjue Temple". It is called the lower house because it is to build the upper house in China after returning to China. Until 1992, the Zhengjue Temple in Liudingshan, Dunhua finally started construction, and the completed Zhengjue Temple became the largest Buddhist Zhong Ni Dojo in the world.

Today, Zhengjue Temple is also a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Although its fame is not too great, its magnificent and unique architecture is really enough to impress everyone who comes. Among them, the main buildings are Shanmen Temple, Tianwang Temple, Mahayana Hall, Guanyin Hall, Luohan Hall, Jinding Buddha, etc., which are hidden in the mountains. Many people like to describe Zhengjue Temple like this.

Zhengjue Temple is a temple built in modern times, but its architecture is very unique, and it has a feeling of rejuvenation after vicissitudes. Walking in the temple, kittens walk freely from time to time. Cats have always been inextricably linked with Zen, and cats can be seen in many temples. They live here lazily and are enviable.

Now Zhengjue Temple is much bigger than the original one, covering an area of 1.35 mu. The location of the temple is also very good. Temples are a rare treasure trove of geomantic omen, especially under the blue sky, where resplendent buildings complement each other.

Although I am not a Buddhist, I especially like the architecture of Buddhist temples. Climbing over the eaves, exquisitely carved sculptures and halls with carved beams and painted buildings are enough to make people linger. The temple is a clean place, and all the unhappiness seems to be relieved here at once.

Among the many temple buildings in Zhengjue Temple, the most striking one is Kannonji, which is the only temple with six corners, six pavilions and six doors in China. It's called "peerless Kannonji", and it's unforgettable just at a glance, and a statue of Guanyin with six dharmas, thousands of hands and thousands of eyes enshrined by Kannonji is even more unique, unique in the history of Buddhism.

Passing through guanyin temple and Luohantang, looking along the steps, a giant Buddha comes into view, which is the famous "Six Ding Giant Buddha". The steps are Prajna Riling 19 and *** 1080, and the design technique is also very unique. The steps of ascending and descending are different.

Jinding Giant Buddha is 38.4 meters high and is the largest open-air sitting statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the world. Its completion fills the history that there is no giant Buddha in Northeast China. Jinding Buddha faces south, with Mudanjiang as its back, Zhengjue Temple in front, overlooking Changbai Mountain, and separated from the Tiantan Buddha in Hong Kong.

Admission to Zhengjue Temple and Jinding Giant Buddha is adult 100 yuan, and each scenic spot in sightseeing bus 10 yuan. The traffic here is also very convenient, and there are buses in Dunhua city that can go directly to the scenic spot.

I don't know. Have you ever been to or heard of Zhengjue Temple in Dunhua City? What's your impression of this ancient northeast temple? Welcome to leave a comment.
