Gaoshan Village is located on the southwest hillside of Rong Da, 5 kilometers north of Yulin City, Guangxi, with an area of 9. 1 km2. Although the altitude and relative height of Gaoshan Village are not high, the village has never been flooded because of frequent floods around it, so it is called Gaoshan Village.
Gaoshan Village was founded in Tianshun period of Ming Dynasty, with a history of nearly 600 years. Xu Xiake, a great geographer and traveler in Ming Dynasty, passed through the high mountains in A.D. 1637, and was attracted by the natural landscape and hospitable and innocent folk customs such as hundreds of towering giant pines and a dozen big banyan trees that only a few people could surround, and stayed in Gaoshan Village for one night. This is recorded in his travel notes, national records of Yulin and historical materials of Guangxi. There are six well-preserved ancient trees and Xu Xiake's cemetery in Gaoshan Village. Among them, the root of a plant rises from the ground, just like a dragon's paw, vigorous and powerful.
Alpine villagers' residential buildings are folk culture with ancestral temple culture of Guangdong and Guangxi as the main carrier. Ancient dwellings and ancestral halls are generally three-in, four-in or five-in. Exterior walls are plastered with blue bricks and interior walls are painted. The unique "push cage" of Guangdong and Guangxi and the screen integrating geomantic omen, aesthetics and ethics are widely used in almost every building, and there are a large number of exquisite and realistic murals, wood carvings, clay sculptures and stone carvings. Whether it is the internal structure of the building or the choice of decorative patterns, poems and calligraphy and painting, it embodies the characteristics of worshipping ancestors, advocating ethics, advocating imperial examinations and praying for prosperity and longevity.

Gaoshan Village is called "Jinshi Village". During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1574), a "Duipo study room" was set up in the village, followed by private schools and large museums. By the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were 15 rooms in the village. From the 22nd year of Qing Qianlong (1757) to the end of Qing Dynasty (150), Gaoshan Village * * produced four scholars (24 scholars in Yulin imperial examination period * *), 2 1 juren, 193 scholars, which has been produced since the Republic of China.
Gaoshan village is rich in tourism resources. At present, there are three ancestral temples 13, 60 ancient houses, 6 buildings 150, 6 Gu Men, 9 brick Gu Xiang, and a large number of ancient tombs, ancient wells, ancient stage, ancient stage, ancient stone tablets, ancient stone piers and stone pillars in the village. Jinshi tablet, Wen Kui tablet, couplets, portraits, ancient thread-bound books, murals, gray sculptures, wood carvings, carved screen doors, dragon and phoenix beds, chairs, etc. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, they were all well-preserved historical sites with rich historical and cultural connotations, which attracted people to enjoy, just like a rare three-dimensional history book. It is the location of TV series such as Storm in Southeast Guangxi and Zhu Xiang.
