As we all know, Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, was very poor when he was a child. His parents supported a large family by renting a few acres of wasteland from the landlord. If the weather is fine, you can barely make ends meet, otherwise you will starve. Around the age of ten, all the other children went to school. In order to eat enough, Zhu Yuanzhang had to herd cattle for the landlord in the village.
At that time, he didn't have much ambition, and he was very happy to eat meat on holidays. When Zhu Yuanzhang was sixteen years old, there was a drought in Haozhou, his hometown, and almost no grain was harvested. As the saying goes, it never rains but it pours In the second year, locust plagues occurred one after another. In less than twenty days, Zhu Yuanzhang's parents and eldest brother passed away.
Zhu Yuanzhang's tears dried up. He complained about the injustice of heaven and cursed the corruption of the imperial court, but to no avail. The most important thing before him is to bury the dead relatives. However, the reality is cruel, because in the past, landlords' farmland was rented and there was no place to bury their parents. Liu Jizu, a hardworking and kind neighbor, felt sorry for him and gave him a place to bury his parents.
After that, Zhu Yuanzhang left his hometown and became a monk in the nearby Huang Jue Temple. It's not that he is interested in chanting Buddhist scriptures, just to survive. Soon after, a feng shui master passed by Zhu Yuanzhang's parents' cemetery and was shocked. He said: "The feng shui here is excellent, and it is a rare dragon cave. There must be a son of heaven in future generations. " (Prediction 1)
Coincidentally, Liu Jizu was working in the field. After listening to the Feng Shui master, he went to Huang Jue Temple overnight and found Zhu Yuanzhang. He made an excuse for Zhu Yuanzhang to move his parents' cemetery to a nearby field, which was also Liu Jizu's farmland. Zhu Yuanzhang has regarded Liu Jizu as a benefactor. Without asking him why, he did as he said.
A few days later, Mr. Feng Shui passed by here again and saw that the previous cemetery was gone. Liu Jizu told him the truth. Hearing this, the master looked at the newly moved cemetery not far away and turned to Liu Jizu and said, "One life, two fortunes and three geomantics. Although these two pieces are a treasure trove of geomantic omen, they all belong to Zhujiajian. This is life! In the future, Jia Zhu Jiangshan Sheji will build its capital in the north and south. " (Prophecy 2)
When Liu Jizu listened to the words of the Feng Shui master, he resigned himself and said that he did not want Zhu Yuanzhang to move his parents' cemetery. The master added, "You don't have to be sad. Although your descendants have no imperial life, you have a kind heart. The Zhu family will never forget your kindness for generations to come. " (Prophecy 3)
The latter things are familiar to everyone. Zhu Yuanzhang followed Tang Xiao to join the uprising army in Guo Zixing, and was soon appreciated. After Guo Zixing's death, he became the supreme leader and established the Ming Dynasty in A.D. 1368, with its capital in Yingtian (now Nanjing). In order to repay Liu Jizu, Zhu Yuanzhang posthumously awarded him the title of righteous Hou and left a will, so he must be kind to Liu Jizu's descendants. After Judy ascended the throne through the Battle of Jingnan, she moved the capital to Beijing, and all three predictions of Feng Shui masters were accurately fulfilled.
