China people, who have been superstitious about gods since ancient times, believe that people can take away what is buried in the tomb after death, so building a tomb has become a must for many dignitaries. Throughout the ages, it has become the only way for kings to build tombs for themselves.
There are many places to pay attention to when building a tomb. Even ordinary people should choose good feng shui when they are buried, not to mention those powerful families and even emperors in ancient times. Before the tomb is officially built, they will invite relevant people to visit it. The location of the tomb should not only show its prominent position, but also try to avoid being discovered by grave robbers.
Tomb raiding began in the Western Zhou Dynasty (BC 1046). Since then, many tombs have been stolen by grave robbers. Therefore, when choosing a tomb site, it is extremely important to avoid being discovered by grave robbers. After all, since ancient times, many tombs have been destroyed by grave robbers, especially after 1840. Because of the chaotic situation, grave robbers used this to excavate many tombs, which also brought great losses to the country.
In addition to site selection, some organs will be designed in tombs to prevent grave robbers from entering, especially some large tombs, and special personnel will be invited to build organs. After all, no one wants his grave stolen after his death. Among the numerous ancient tombs in China, one is called the first "fierce tomb" in China. It is called a fierce tomb because archaeologists found 80 bodies of grave robbers in this ancient tomb when they were digging it, and the death was terrible and it was difficult to look straight.
At the end of the 20th century, workers found a stone tablet engraved with ancient prose in the construction site in Xiangyang, Hubei. Obviously, there is probably an ancient tomb here, and the workers immediately notified the archaeologists to investigate. After exploration by experts, it was determined that the tomb should be an ancient tomb from 907 to 979 AD.
In the process of excavating the ancient tomb, experts found that the ancient tomb seems to have traces of theft, because there are many stolen holes in the ancient tomb, and the interior of the ancient tomb may have been destroyed. Seeing this situation, archaeologists immediately carried out rescue excavation, hoping to rescue some cultural relics.
However, before they arrived at the tomb, the experts found another surprising thing, that is, there was a "cliff" in front of the tomb. The height of this cliff is about 7 meters. If the explorers are not careful, there is a risk of falling down. Obviously, this is a quicksand tomb, which was used by ancient people as a means to prevent grave robbers from entering, because if grave robbers entered, they would touch the organs in quicksand and then be drowned by quicksand and die.
Since then, experts have carried out protective excavations on the cultural relics in the ancient tomb, and these 80 grave robbers who died tragically in the tomb also made this ancient tomb the first "fierce tomb" in China. In the expert's next excavation, a more surprising scene appeared. Archaeologists dug up 80 bodies in quicksand. These bodies died tragically, apparently drowned alive by quicksand, which made people unable to bear to look straight. After research, experts confirmed that these 80 bodies were grave robbers who broke into the tomb.
