Who can go to Dragon Mother Temple?

Anyone can go, but be careful before going! Dragon Mother is a deity believed by many people in our western Guangdong basin and Hong Kong and Macao. Every year during Dragon Mother’s birthday and Spring Festival, many people go to worship, which can reach two to three million people. This year, the number of incense sticks on Dragon Mother’s head reached 1.58 million. . Then there are many rules for worshiping the Dragon Mother:

1. You are not allowed to eat carp and beef the day before worshiping the Dragon Mother. There are two theories about not eating carp: one is that the dragon mother died because she was bitten by a fish bone while eating carp; the other is that it comes from the fish jumping over the dragon gate, and the carp turned into a dragon after jumping over the dragon gate. , then that means carps are also the descendants of the Dragon Mother, so people who go to worship should not eat the Dragon Mother's descendants. The saying of not eating beef comes from a grateful heart. The five dragons were grateful for the mother's upbringing and turned into scholars to observe filial piety for the dragon mother for three days. The temple of the dragon mother was formerly called Tongxiao Temple. Cows work hard all their lives to farm for humans, and they work hard without complaining. When they are too old to work, they are slaughtered, so beef is also called rotten meat. You cannot eat these two things the day before going to Longmu Temple.

2. You must take a shower the day before going to the Dragon Mother Temple. In China, we have a tradition of bathing and changing clothes before worshiping the saints. The same goes for worshiping the Dragon Mother. For those who are solemn, they will also use grapefruit leaves, Soak cinnamon twigs and leaves in water and take a shower. You can bring a towel to use as a dragon towel, and beauties can bring a comb.

3. When we go to the Dragon Mother Temple, we usually enter through the west gate, especially the usual tourist groups. Why not go in through the front door? From the Feng Shui perspective of the Dragon Mother Temple, the west door is the auspicious position, so I chose the west door to enter. Then when you enter, there will be a staff member who will stamp you with a dragon seal. This is very important. After stamping with the dragon seal, it is a qualified product. You can enter and exit the Dragon Mother Temple for free within one day. Otherwise, if you go out to buy something, you will have to wait for it when you come back. The ticket is 50 yuan, so be sure not to wash it off after washing your hands.

4. When we arrived at the main hall of Longmu Temple, the sacrifices were spread out. Then go wash your hands and body, mainly your hands and face. There are ten taps on the left and right in front of the main hall, where washing and purification are performed. When washing your hands, you should wash your palms, wrists, and elbows if possible. There is a saying in the vernacular: good intentions. When washing your face, wash your forehead first, then the bridge of your nose, and then behind your ears. People say that people with deep ears are blessed, so they should be washed.

5. There is also a sequence for burning incense. Burn the big incense first, then the candles, and finally the small incense. One person usually burns three incense sticks. If someone asks you to burn incense, two people will burn six sticks, and three people will burn nine sticks. Most people cannot burn more than nine sticks. In ancient times, only the emperor could burn thirteen sticks of incense, and civilians could not. of. Through the smoke of incense, you can tell your wishes to the gods. This is a way to communicate between humans and gods. So when you burn incense, you must say your wishes so that the dragon mother can hear you. Don't be embarrassed. The Mother of Dragons is a tolerant god, and she will bless you no matter what your wishes are.

6. Another thing to note here is that when you are burning incense and melting paper, there may be enthusiastic aunts who come out to help you burn incense and melt paper. As the saying goes, if you don't have any profit, you can't afford it early. People are so enthusiastic only when they want something. In the end, I want you to buy something, so it's better to refuse clearly. After all the hard work of traveling all the way, why do you need someone to help burn incense?

7. When burning incense, you should leave three small incense sticks and ingots at the end. Walk into the main hall and worship from the dragon mother's adoptive father Liang San on the right, then go up to the second hall, touch the dragon bed, and dress up Mirror (if the beauties comb their hair sincerely in front of the Dragon Mother's dressing mirror at this time, maybe their sweethearts will appear in the mirror), come down to pay homage to Lai Puyi (the person who fought with the Dragon Mother, and finally chose to be buried because of his worship of the Dragon Mother) here), and finally inserted in front of the tombstone of "Mother of Qin Dragon Mother". This is the tomb given to Dragon Mother by Qin Shihuang, and it is also the tomb of Dragon Mother.

8. The entire process of burning incense is basically completed. When the wish comes in advance, you must come to fulfill it. So if you go to Longmu Temple, you should take four things back with you. Dragon scarf, dragon flag, dragon windmill, dragon card.

You can bring a dragon towel with you. You can also buy it outside or in the temple. The main thing is to stamp a dragon seal in the temple. The time of stamping the dragon seal is different in each place. You can ask when you enter the temple; Dragon Flag , you can place the dragon flag on the door, balcony, or entrance of the hall, but do not insert it on the toilet seat; if you have a dragon windmill, you just feel that you have bad luck this year, and you want to change your luck before hiring a dragon windmill. If you have good luck this year, No need, otherwise good luck will turn away. The dragon card is a gold card that can be requested every year. You can carry it with you every year, and you can accumulate the ones from previous years and put them next to the gods at home. It is called the accumulation of blessings.
