On the outskirts of Zhangcun Town, fifty kilometers northwest of Yushan County, Jiangxi Province, there is also a "Flag Mountain" at the southwest foot of Sanqing Mountain, a world natural heritage site.
This mountain is named because its shape resembles a flag fluttering in the wind. Local people regard it as a sacred mountain.
“No matter how high the mountain is, if there are immortals, there will be spirits!” Legend has it that this mountain commemorates a woman named Yang. Her natal family is in Shangrao, and her story of sacrificing her life to save her husband is widely known among the local people. There is a temple on the top of the mountain called "Yang Xiangu Temple", which is full of incense all year round.
The Longgu Temple on Qizhu Peak is the main temple of Qishan. It was built in the ninth year of Yuanhe in the Tang Dynasty (814). During the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, due to the Hongmeng uprising, the Qing army suppressed the Qing Dynasty, affecting the temple and its surroundings. Several surrounding nunneries were burned down, and the bodies of the victims were buried together. Three mounds were built by the stream at the foot of the mountain, which were called "Hong Tomb Mounds".
