Hunyuan is a small county in Shanxi, named after Hunhe River. Hunyuan has a long history and profound cultural heritage. As early as the Tang Dynasty, it was called Hunyuan City.
What makes this city special is the map drawn by its occupied area. "City Wall and Besieged City" presents an octagon like a turtle's back, which is not as square as in TV series, and the streets are more rugged. The world can call it: Guicheng Snake Street.
Hengshan Mountain, one of the five famous mountains, is stored in this small county. Hengshan Mountain has been the dividing line between the Central Plains people who are good at farming and the nomadic northern people since ancient times. In this nameless county town with an area of only 1700 square meters, there are not only Hengshan Mountain in Beiyue, but also three national treasure famous temples.
I. Dayun Temple
Dayun Temple is located in Jingzhuang, ten kilometers away from hun yuan City. Its real name is Dayun Temple. Today, only Dayun Temple is incomplete, and only Dayunxia Temple has been preserved to this day. It was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the statues of the top ten Ming kings in the Jin Dynasty stayed here.
Most of the buildings in Si Xia Temple have not been preserved, but the Daxiong Hall is relatively complete. Daxiong Hall is located in the main hall, with three single eaves outside and two inside.
There are relevant records in the county annals. During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the fame of Dayunxia Temple barely surpassed that of Hengshan Mountain, where Wen surnamed Jin Yuanhao lived in seclusion. There are also many records about Dayun Temple in Xu Xiake's numerous travel notes.
2. Eianji
The Yong 'an "Great Temple" in Hunyuan is located in the northeast lane, which is the largest preserved building found in the county so far, and it is not among them. This Buddhist temple, known as the "Great Temple", was built in the Jin Dynasty. There is a nearly 4-meter-high tower foundation of Mount Sumi in the temple, on which the archway is like wood, and lotus flowers are carved in every corner, and the pillars at the waist are engraved with Lux and King Kong. The building looks lively and beautiful. Do you know what Angie's "four wonders" are? They are unique buildings, unique Chinese characters, unique murals and unique statues.
In its main hall, the roof of the one-eaves palace is five rooms wide and three rooms deep. The middle is filled with yellow glazed tiles, and the word "solemn" is located at both ends under the eaves.
3. Li Yumei Tomb
Shanxi is the first batch of national cultural relics protection units, with more than 500 sites. Anyone with a little hobby should know that there are only three individual graves on the national security list. They are the tomb of Sima Guang in the Song Dynasty, the tomb of Xue Song in the Tang Dynasty, and the third tomb is the tomb of Li Yumei.
The owner of the tomb, Hunyuan, was the Governor of Lu Yu River God in Daoguang period, and the people called him Li Wang.
The Yellow River has been treated according to local conditions, and the treatment method of "replacing dam with brick" has been implemented, which has helped people avoid the harm of flood, and at the same time reduced the construction cost to the maximum extent, reducing the expenditure of nearly 6.5438+0.5 million government treasury.
Looking at this high-standard mausoleum, we can see the high achievements made by Li Guowang!
