Wang Liuling under the Phoenix Mountain is the only mausoleum of Zhu Yichang, the half-brother of Emperor Wanli. It consists of Shinto, Mausoleum and Zhao Tomb, with a total area of more than 400 mu. The main architectural layout of Wang Luling is basically the same as that of the Ming Emperor Mausoleum in Beijing. It is famous for its magnificent scale and exquisite stone carvings, which is of great significance to the study of the mausoleum shape of local princes and the architectural art at that time in the late Ming Dynasty.
Legend of Phoenix Mountain: According to legend, tigers often haunt this mountain forest, hurting people and animals, and the local people suffer greatly. In order to survive, people struggle with tigers. Hunters from several villages joined forces to hunt around the mountain, trying to kill the tiger. Who knows that there are more and more tigers on this mountain, so it is called Wanhushan, and because it is daunting, it is called Wanghushan.
During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the captaincy Zhu Yichang sent people to look around for geomantic omen and land. When the dispatched people came to the southern foot of Wanhu Mountain, they saw beautiful peaks in the north and gurgling rivers in the south. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, and the east and west are wide. There is Jinding Temple in the east and Zhier Mountain in the west, which is really extraordinary. At the same time, he also found three peaks in Wan Hu. The middle peak is as high as the head of a phoenix, and the left and right peaks are like the wings of a phoenix, and the overall shape is like a phoenix. So he thought it was a treasure trove of geomantic omen, so he told the story to King Lu. King Lu was ecstatic and went to see it himself. Overlooking Yuan Ye like a carpet, looking up at Taihang like an emerald screen. There is no end to painting and no end to poetry. King Lu repeatedly shouted, "What a wonderful place! The treasure is great! " Followed by a middle official, he came up to flatter and said, "The prince is blessed, and the prince is blessed. I heard that there was a phoenix flying in ancient Baoshan. " King Lu laughed and immediately decided to build a mausoleum here and changed the name of this mountain from "Wanhushan" to "Phoenix Mountain".
In recent years, Xinxiang City has planted trees in Phoenix Mountain to beautify the environment, making Phoenix Mountain a free leisure attraction in the suburbs of Xinxiang.
