The height of nanmu can reach more than 30 meters, DBH 1 meter. Mainly refers to nanmu and Machilus wood. Nanmu Zhennan is classified as Nanmu, mainly including Huang Nan and Little Ye Nan. Runnan is classified as nanmu, mainly Phoebe bournei, Phoebe bournei, Phoebe yunnanensis and Phoebe jiangnan.
Zhennan and Jin Sinan are both national second-class protected plants, but there are essential differences. There is no "golden thread" in wood grain in the south of Zhennan, and Zhennan with flashing colors is not the real Jin Sinan.
Nanmu is owned by China and Nanyate. It is a well-known precious timber tree species at home and abroad and the main tree species that constitute evergreen broad-leaved forest. Due to the cutting and utilization of past dynasties, this rich forest resource is almost exhausted. Most of the existing stands are artificial semi-natural forests and scenic protection forests. There are still a few big trees in temples, cottages, parks, courtyards and other places, but the pests and diseases are more serious and are declining one after another.
