The ancestor of Li Dingguo's "Golden Nanmu Old House" was Li Dingguo. Li Dingguo was born in a poor peasant family. In 1630 AD (the third year of Chongzhen), Zhang Xianzhong launched an uprising of hungry people in northern Shaanxi, adopted the young Li Dingguo as his adopted son, and changed his surname Zhang. From then on, he followed Zhang Xianzhong to fight in the north and south. After Li Dingguo became an adult, he was brave and good at fighting and was loved by Zhang Xianzhong. After Zhang Xianzhong died, he returned to the Southern Ming Dynasty. After that, he sent 80,000 troops to attack Hunan. After winning the victory, Li Dingguo also spent some time recovering, and it was during this period that he built a house made of golden nanmu.
