2. The air-cooled diesel engine has simple structure, small volume and light weight. Compared with water-cooled diesel engine, air-cooled diesel engine has fewer parts, simplified structure, simplified production process and reduced production cost. In the past, the distance from the cylinder to the center of the air-cooled machine was generally larger than that of the water-cooled machine with the same cylinder diameter and displacement, so the length of the machine body was slightly longer than that of the water-cooled machine, but the water-cooled machine needed a water tank, a fan connected in series with the water tank and water cavities at the front and rear ends of the machine body, so the water-cooled machine was longer than the air-cooled machine on the whole. In recent years, with the development of air cooler, the distance between cylinder centers is getting smaller and smaller. Therefore, the cylinder center distance between the air cooler and the water cooler is getting closer and closer.
3. The manufacturing process requirements of air-cooled diesel engines are higher than those of water-cooled diesel engines, and the requirements for heat resistance, wear resistance and expansion coefficient of the materials used are also high. Air-cooled diesel engine is easy to start, economical to run and has strong adaptability to the environment, which is welcomed by the majority of users. Attention should be paid when using: idle at low speed for a while after starting, and then put into operation after the standby temperature rises and the oil pressure is normal, so as to avoid the machine temperature rising too fast and damaging parts; If the engine can't be shut down immediately after stopping running, the diesel engine should be idling at medium and low speed for a period of time, and then shut down after the standby temperature drops properly; During operation, it should be noted that the engine temperature should not be too high. The air-cooled diesel engine completely relies on the strong airflow generated by the fan to cool the engine block, and the working temperature shall not exceed 120 degrees (higher than that of the water-cooled diesel engine). In the process of operation, cylinder pulling accident may happen if you are not careful.
