Brief introduction of baxianling country park

Baxianling Country Park was established in 1978, covering an area of 3 125 hectares. Eight peaks in Baxianling are named after Eight Immortals, with Chunyang Peak as the main peak. Other famous peaks are Huangling, Pingfeng, Jiulong Keng Mountain and Guitouling.

Besides mountains, there is water. There are country park facilities next to the scenic Hetou Reservoir and the living reservoir. In addition to the beautiful planting forest, there are places for barbecues, picnics and camping, and tourists can use the camping place as a base for outdoor adventure activities.

Experienced hikers can try to cross the ninth and tenth sections of Wilson Trail in Pat Sin Ling Country Park. Walking along the ridges such as Huangling, Bilishan and Baxianling, on a clear day, standing at the height of the ridge and looking out, you can have a panoramic view of the vast countryside, rolling mountains and magnificent freshwater lakes in Plover Bay; When the weather is clear, you can overlook the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. The conglomerate at the top of Baxianling is a geographically famous crown rock.

To the south of Baxianling Country Park, there are Shaluo Cave, the hometown of dragonflies, and Jiao Ting Wetland with special scientific value. There are heron paradise, salt stoves and their geomantic forests in the north. Barbecue and picnic sites along Bridal Pond-Chongbei Barbecue and Yongmei Barbecue-also belong to Baxianling Country Park.

From Du Dawei to the summit, the mountain road is steep and circuitous. On the ridge, the trails are undulating, with cliffs in the south and rolling mountains in the north. Go straight ahead and the Eight Immortals will appear one by one. It takes great efforts to climb every mountain.

Every mountain in Baxianling is a good place to enjoy the urban and rural scenery of Hong Kong, and Huangling is no exception. This weathered rock is everywhere, commanding and overlooking the natural beauty. The distant scenery is the urban area of the New Territories.

South of Huangling is Shaluo Cave, and there are many abandoned rice fields and villages in the quiet deep valley. To the north of Huangling, behind the mountains, is Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. When tourists go hiking in Baxianling, they usually have a rest in Huangling and other hills. Sitting on a high hill, you can enjoy the sharp contrast between the urban and rural scenery that is rare in the world.
