The six major temples in Beijing are good places to worship Buddha.

Tomb-Sweeping Day is a day to commemorate the old friends, and it is also suitable for activities such as worshipping Buddha and praying for blessings. What are the good places to worship Buddha in Tomb-Sweeping Day? It is one of the best choices for Tomb-Sweeping Day to go hiking and pray. The following is a good place for me to walk in six temples in Beijing for your reference.

1, Tanzhe Temple

As the saying goes: Tanzhe Temple comes first, then Youzhou City. Tanzhe Temple, built more than 1700 years ago, is said to be the earliest temple in Beijing and also the royal temple, known as the "first royal temple".

Tanzhe Temple is located in Ximentougou, Beijing, 50 kilometers away from Beijing. In the first ten days of April, the mountain flowers on both sides of the mountain roads are competing to open, catching up with the weather, and the spring breeze is blowing, and people who come to enjoy the flowers are in an endless stream. When it comes to temples, they have been rubbing shoulders.

Blessing:

1, which is favored by the royal family because it burns incense effectively. During the more than 200 years from Kangxi to Guangxu, emperors came to the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha, and officials also used Tanzhe Temple as the first place to burn incense to ensure the prosperity of their official career.

2. The temple is built on the mountain, facing south, backed by Mount Everest, and surrounded by Jiu Feng such as Huilong, Huju, Pengri and Cui Zi. It is a treasure trove of geomantic omen.

Before and after the Spring Festival, people who come here to burn incense and worship Buddha will be crowded with Tanzhe Temple.

Blessing guide:

1, wood carving and gold lacquer Maitreya Buddha statue. Located in the first heavenly palace, you can seek a smooth promotion.

2. "Buddha's head" and "White marble Guanyin". The Buddha's head is a stone carving in the early Yuan Dynasty, and the Guanyin statue is located in the West Guanyin Cave in the temple. Pilgrims keep coming here every day, and pilgrimage can seek health and official luck.

3. Buddha Sakyamuni. Located in the Hall of the Great Hero, there is a plaque with the characters of "Fu Hai Zhu Lun" written by Gan Long in calligraphy.

4, worship the "stone fish" for peace. Located in front of the Dragon King Hall. It is said that the stone fish is the treasure of the Dragon Palace. The fish body is divided into 13 parts, representing 13 areas in Yuan Dynasty. If it is dry, pat the corresponding parts of the fish with wooden fish for rain.

2. Reclining Buddha Temple

Also known as "Shifang Pujue Temple". Located at the northern foot of Xishan Mountain and the southern foot of Niu Shan, on the east side of Xiangshan Mountain, 30 kilometers away from the urban area. Because there are huge bronze statues of Sakyamuni and reclining Buddha Temple in the temple, it is named. The reclining Buddha is 5.2 meters long, with 25,000 kilograms of copper and 7,000 workers casting Buddha. The bronze Buddha is lying on the couch in the west and south, with his left hand flat on his leg and his right hand bent to hold his head.

It is said that this is a memorial statue of Sakyamuni. Next to it stands a small Buddha statue of 12, which is his 12 disciple. Their facial expressions are heavy and sad, which constitutes a scene in which Sakyamuni tells his disciple 12 about the funeral. On the front wall of the temple, there is a horizontal plaque, which means that if you get the true meaning of life, you will get the greatest freedom. In addition, there are several Poirot trees in the temple. Every late spring and early summer, white flowers are in full bloom, hanging upside down among branches and leaves like countless white jade pagodas.

Blessing:

1, the pronunciation of "reclining Buddha" and "offering" is similar, so the petition to burn incense in the reclining Buddha Temple has been circulated among people who applied for studying abroad and looking for a job after graduating from college for many years.

The pronunciation of "reclining Buddha Temple" and "office" is similar, and many job seekers come here to burn incense and worship Buddha.

3. The relationship between the reclining Buddha Temple and "studying abroad" has a long history. Master Xuanzang, who went to the west to learn Buddhist scriptures, was one of the most famous "overseas students" in ancient times, and the former "Doulv Temple" of the reclining Buddha Temple was built when Xuanzang returned to China.

Blessing guide:

Copper reclining Buddha. This reclining Buddha, built in the Yuan Dynasty, is located in the reclining Buddha Hall, which is said to be the posture of Sakyamuni when he was in India. Can seek academic career for future generations.

3. Hongluo Temple

Located in Huairou County, the Pearl in the suburbs of Beijing, it is the holy land of Buddhism and the birthplace of Jinghua Qigong. Hongluo Temple, built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, is the largest Buddhist jungle in the north and has been a Buddhist holy land for thousands of years. In the past, abbots were mostly appointed by the royal family, and eminent monks appeared frequently. There is an international saying that "Putuo is in the south and Luo Hong is in the north".

Because of the wonderful legend of Hongluoxian, the locals call it "Hongluosi". The previous presidents of Hongluo Temple were mostly appointed by the royal family, with frequent monks and superb Buddhism. The environment in the temple is elegant, with towering ancient trees and evergreen all the year round. Among them, wisteria pine, royal bamboo forest and ginkgo biloba are known as the three wonders.

Blessing:

1, "male harmony, female red snail", women can choose to pray here. In addition, Hongluo Temple is also a temple for begging children.

2. Hongluo Temple, the birthplace of Buddhism in northern China, has been a Buddhist holy land for thousands of years. Most of the abbots in the temple are appointed by the royal family, and there are many monks, and the Buddhism is extraordinary. There was a famous Buddhist monk in Jin Dynasty, a Buddhist monk in Yunshan in Yuan Dynasty, and an abbot of Hongluo Temple in Qing Dynasty, who founded the Pure Land Dojo of Luohong. The ancestors of the Pure Land Sect have been predestined friends with Hongluo Temple for two generations, and there is a saying in the world that "there is Putuo in the south and Luohong in the north".

Blessing guide:

1. The tail hall of Hongluo Temple is Kannonji, which is divided into two parts. The first is Kannonji, who can pray for Buddha's surrender.

2. Manjusri Bodhisattva in Hongluo Temple can study.

4. Yunju Temple

Located at the foot of Baidai Mountain in Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, Shijingshan Tibetan Buddhist Cave and Tang Liao Pagoda constitute a major feature of China's ancient Buddhist culture and are rated as the best tourist world in Beijing. Yunju Temple was built in the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty, and it is a place where Buddhist scriptures gather in China. The nine Buddhist scriptures in the temple contain a large number of stone scriptures, paper scriptures and wooden scriptures, which are called the three wonders.

Yunju Temple is a famous Buddhist temple at home and abroad, enjoying the reputation of "the Great Temple in the North". Its unique quiet environment, peculiar beautiful scenery and rich Buddhist cultural characteristics.

Blessing:

1. The Great Compassion Hall on the sixth floor of Yunju Temple is dedicated to a Guanyin bodhisattva with thousands of hands and eyes. There are many boys around the Guanyin statue. They are fake dolls that pilgrims make wishes for their children and return after their wishes come true. Because there are too many dolls, there is a special "doll warehouse" outside the temple. "Boy with Guanyin" has also become a unique landscape of Yunju Temple.

2. The eighth day of the fourth lunar month is the Bathing Buddha Festival, and the bathing Buddha in Yunju Temple has existed since ancient times. Surprisingly, Yunju Temple never stops raining during the Buddha Bathing Festival. What's even weirder is that sometimes it's sunny around, only Yunju Temple has rain.

5. Jietai Temple

Jietai Temple is located in Maanshan, Mentougou District, Beijing. Founded in the fifth year of Wude in Tang Dynasty (AD 622), it was originally named "Huiju Temple". During the Liao Dynasty, Buddhist monks built an altar here, and monks from all directions came to collect it. Therefore, it is also called Jietan Temple, which has a long-standing reputation because it has the largest Buddhist altar in China. The altar in the temple was formed during the reign of Emperor Xianyong in Liao Dynasty. People call it "the first altar in the world", which is the highest-ranking Buddhist altar in China. Although it has gone through many vicissitudes, it is still well preserved.

Jietai Temple is especially famous for its pine trees. "Tanzhe wins a spring, quit Taiwan wins a loose name, and a tree has a state, which is skillful in competition." Pine, Mian, Jiulong, Baota and Wolong pine are collectively called Jietai Five Pines. Whenever there is a breeze in Xulai, there are bursts of pines, forming a unique "pines" landscape of Jietai Temple.

Blessing:

In the 26th year of Guangxu, Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Beijing, and Jietai Temple became a refuge for as many as one thousand people. Many people believe that the Buddha statues in Jietai Temple are effective and can protect them from disasters.

6. Lama Temple

Lama Temple is located in the east of Lama Temple Street in Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing. It was built in the thirty-third year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (AD 1694). It used to be the former residence of Yongzheng, the third generation emperor of the Qing Dynasty. In the third year of Yongzheng (A.D. 1725), it was changed into a palace, and in the ninth year of Qianlong (A.D. 1744), it was changed into a Tibetan Buddhist temple.

The Lama Temple is the largest Lama Temple in Beijing and enjoys a world-renowned reputation. Every day, the incense here is extremely strong, and you can smell the waves of incense floating out of the courtyard when you walk outside. When you enter the Lama Temple, you can see that there are many tourists here, most of whom are foreign tourists. The hall is full of cigarettes, and people worship them devoutly. The breeze jingled the bells hanging in the four corners of the temple, adding a hint of mystery to this majestic courtyard.
