The Yan State of the Western Zhou Dynasty once established its capital in China; Shanggu County, Qin Wei; Han county is a good township.
"Tianfu Guangji" also said: "fangshan county is forty miles northwest of Zhoucheng, where there are three counties such as Benliang Township and Wanping. Jin poetry forced Liao with its land, and there was no county. Gold is located in Wanning County, changed to Fengxian after Fengshanling, and changed to Yuanzhou in fangshan county, belonging to Zhuozhou. Clear and solid. "
Among the 302 historical and cultural sites in Fangshan District, there are world cultural sites 1, 6 national key cultural protection units, 5 municipal sites1and 47 district sites, and the total number of ancient pagodas ranks first in Beijing.
The famous Peking man site (Zhoukoudian Town) in this area is one of the world cultural heritages and enjoys the reputation of "Peking man's home". The site of Yan Dou (Liu Lihe Town) in the Western Zhou Dynasty is called "Jingyuan"; Yunju Temple, a Buddhist shrine with a history of 1300 years, is well-known at home and abroad for its possession of 14278 stone carvings, and is known as "Dunhuang in Beijing" and "the best in the world". Jinling site is the first royal mausoleum in Beijing history.
In addition, however, Fangshan has its own "Eight Scenes" besides the world-famous "Eight Scenes of Yanjing".
"Eight Scenes of Fangshan" include:
First, the big house is green.
Dafang Mountain is the main mountain range in China, hence its name. It is about 30 kilometers west of the original county seat. The pine forest on the mountain is densely covered, overlooking the green, hence the name "big house is green"
Second, Fangshangshan Temple
Fangshang, located in Yuegezhuang, Fangshan District, is a branch of Dafang Mountain. There are nine caves and twelve peaks on the mountain, and there are 72 Mao 'an temples centered on Doulv Temple. Doulv Temple is located above, also known as Fangshang Temple.
Doulv Temple is the intersection of 72 Mao 'an temples and the largest temple in the whole mountain.
The temple is built on the mountain, towering and surrounded by trees.
This temple was built in the early Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in Jiajing and Wanli years of Ming Dynasty. Now the temple is abandoned.
(3) the wonders of clouds and water
Yunshui Cave is located about 4 kilometers southwest of Dulu Temple in Shangdou. There is a Dabei Temple and three halls in front of the cave, with murals, which were created in the late Ming Dynasty.
The entrance of Yunshui Cave faces south with a depth of 620 meters. It consists of seven caves with natural small doors between them. There are tens of thousands of bats hanging upside down from the top of the first cave, which is called "Bat Cave". After the second hole, all the holes were covered with stalactites of different shapes, showing wonders.
Fourth, the victory of western paradise.
"Western Heaven" refers to the Little Western Heaven, namely Shijingshan, which is located 20 kilometers southwest of Fangshan Old Town, also known as "Dunhuang in Beijing". Because the nine caves in the mountain and the stupa next to Yunju Temple at the foot of the mountain contain a large number of Buddhist scriptures and stone carvings preserved for thousands of years from Sui to Ming.
Yunju Temple was built in Sui and Tang Dynasties. The temple was very large at first. There are five courtyards, six halls, a hall next to an affiliated hall, a guest house and two pagodas in the north and south of the temple.
During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the temple was destroyed by gunfire, leaving only the North Tower. This tower is about 30 meters high, with an octagonal lower plane and brick steps inside. This tower is surrounded by a 3-meter-high stone tower. It is said that there is a spring stream in front of the temple, surrounded by lush trees.
Five, the red snail three risks
This "red snail" is not the "red snail" of Hongluo Temple in Huairou County, but refers to Luohong Cave in 30 miles of Shandong Province. The third danger is to go along Kowloon Valley to Yunhuimen.
Risk; Since then, the road has become more dangerous. It's a medium risk to get to Luohong Cave, and it's a high risk to walk half a mile and go to Guanyin Cave via Song Peng Temple.
The mountains on the road are steep, the peaks are like halberds, and the mountain roads are bitter and steep, which is called three dangers.
Today, Luohong Sanjian has become one of the top ten outdoor mountaineering routes in Beijing.
Six, Kong Narcissus Boat
This scene is located in a natural cave at the southern foot of Yunmeng Mountain in the northwest of Fangshan Old Town.
"There is water in the hole" because the hole is artificially built, which is very deep and difficult to enter. However, there is water in the cave, and people are still in fairyland by boat, hence the name.
There are scriptures and Buddha statues carved on the stone wall in the cave, and there are 6 statues carved on the rock, which are similar to Yungang and Longmen Grottoes. It is said that it was carved in the Tang Dynasty, and many stone faces were covered. Jinlong, animal fossils and Tang Dynasty ironware were unearthed in the cave.
Outside the cave, there is the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall, and there is a white marble relief of the "Ten Thousand Bodhisattvas" inside.
This is the place where Fangshan Shijing was carved in the early days.
Seven, Jinshan perfume
It refers to Jinshan Temple in the southwest of Fangshan Old Town 10 km. There is a perfume pool, which smells fragrant and always attacks people. This temple was built during the Jin Dynasty.
Eight, white water slurry
"Baishui", namely Baishui Temple, is located halfway up the hill 10 km north of Fangshan Old Town.
The age of the temple is unknown, and it collapsed in the late Ming Dynasty, leaving only the temple without beams. Baishui Temple has an excellent geographical location, with mountains in the north and Baishui River in the south, which is hidden among flowers and trees.
There are three granite statues in the temple, among which the 5.8-meter-high Sakyamuni Buddha has a plump structure and a serene face. Left and right are two threats to serve Ananda and Gaya. In the third year of Ming Chenghua (1465), when it was rebuilt, it was covered with clay paintings, which have now peeled off and blackened due to incense. It is said that this statue and the ground are a whole boulder, which is the largest stone Buddha statue preserved in Beijing at present. Kaya suffered a head injury and recovered after reconstruction in recent years.
The big stone Buddha in Baishui Temple is carved from a whole stone, with a round roof on its head, which is formed by shrinking the whole stone in a semicircle.
These three buddhas were originally located in a beamless hall, facing south, with double eaves, a brick structure, a square plane and a dome, and a faucet caisson carved in the middle. The top of the Buddhist temple seen today is only semi-circular, and there is no faucet algae well.
In the early years, there were mountain springs behind the temple. It is said that because it is close to this temple, its mana is greatly increased and it can cure diseases, so it is called "white water and different pulp".
Regrettably, in the fifties and sixties, the spring water gradually dried up.
