You are not the same thing. One is luck and the other is luck.
Good deeds are rewarded with good deeds. Although blessings have not yet arrived, disasters have been far away. Evil will be rewarded, and although disaster has not yet come, blessings are far away. This is a rule, a Tao.

Doing more good deeds can reduce this time span or even disappear.
Don’t release animals easily. The animals released may not be able to survive, so they may not have the so-called merit.
Being friendly, neighborly, and filial to your parents is a good deed.
