The other is spread in Ma Chao's cemetery, located in Ma Chao Village, Guilin Township, Nansanli, Xindu District, Chengdu, Sichuan. This place is also protected by the local government and is a local county cultural relics protection site. This place is actually the place where Ma Chao was stationed, and it has also been valued by successive dynasties. It's probably built by local people. During the Ming Dynasty, a group of officials, such as Yang Shan, the provincial judge of Sichuan, Wang Jiude, the magistrate of Chengdu, and Shao Nianqi, the magistrate of Xindu, erected a monument in front of Ma Chao's tomb, next to which stood a China table.
During the reign of Yongzheng and Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, these local feeder lines still kept the habit of repairing cemeteries. Ma Weiqi, the magistrate of Sichuan Province, personally went to the tomb of Baimachao, wrote the inscription "The British wind is always vibrating", and also wrote "The Story of Ma Lingyuan", and ordered to place hand-carved stones next to the cemetery to express his reverence for Ma Chao. But this tomb was confirmed to have been destroyed in 2005! Ma Chao's Tomb No.2 is located in the northwest of Chengxian County, Gansu Province, where Ma Chao once stationed troops. But the truth and specific information about this tomb are not recorded in detail. Even if it does exist, it may have been destroyed after thousands of years of wind and frost. So the two purposes circulated above, I think the official opening to the outside world is the most real. As I said, the second cemetery is just a rumor.
As for why the incense has been burning, it must be because Ma Chao's tomb in Mianxian County has been opened to the outside world and has become a tourist attraction. All the tourists burn incense to show their awe.
