Wintersweet tree's protection secret
1, prune regularly.
There is a folk saying that "wintersweet is not short of branches". Chimonanthus praecox has strong branching ability, and there will be many branches and leaves in chicken ribs. At this time, you need to prune it, and trim off those useless dead branches, diseased branches and cross branches. Pruning time is mostly in March-June, so don't prune after July. Because it will affect the development of wintersweet tree.
Step 2 water properly
As mentioned earlier, Chimonanthus praecox is drought-tolerant, so when planting Chimonanthus praecox, don't water it too much. If you water it too much, it will make wintersweet grow badly. Chimonanthus praecox likes sunshine, so try to choose a sunny place when planting. Water must be in the right amount. If there is too much water, the flowers will drop and the buds will drop. If there is less water, the flowers will bloom irregularly.
3. Rational fertilization
If you want your wintersweet to grow better, you need to apply some fertilizer. Timely fertilization can promote the flower bud differentiation of Chimonanthus praecox, and it will bloom more. The specific time is as follows: Bika water-soluble fertilizer is applied twice in spring, and compound fertilizer is not applied every 10 ~ 15 days from the end of June to the rainy season. Apply 1 ~ 2 times phosphorus and potassium fertilizer after autumn cooling. Apply a thin phosphorus-based organic fertilizer again before winter, so that wintersweet will grow well.
