Golf related knowledge
1. Why is there a small hole in the golf ball?
If you count patiently, you will find that there are more than 300 holes in the golf ball. The average depth of each hole is about 0.025 cm. In fact, the surface of the golf ball has intentionally created many pits, which is the result of dynamic aerodynamics research. The existence of these pits is precisely to reduce air resistance, increase the lift of the ball and make the golf ball fly farther.
2. What is the diameter of the golf ball?
The diameter of a golf ball shall not be less than 42.67 mm (i.e. 1.680 inch) and the weight shall not exceed 45.93 g (i.e. 1.62 ounce). What is the so-called ball of this size? American ball? At present, it is very popular all over the world, and everyone plays it. Until the middle of the 20th century, what has been competing with it? English ball? Its diameter is 1.620 inch, which is slightly smaller than the American ball.
3. The structure of golf ball
Judging from the structure of golf, it can basically be divided into the following three categories:
3. 1, single-layer ball
This kind of ball can also be called integrated ball or header, and is generally only used for practice or driving range. The sphere is pressed with hard rubber and painted with color.
3.2, double ball
This kind of ball, also called catamaran or double-headed boat, is the most commonly used ball. The outer side of the ball center is a shell made of hard rubber or plastic, or a mixture of the two, with a thickness of about1mm. At present, most golf balls with long flying distance or wear resistance on the market adopt this structure, which is the best choice for ordinary enthusiasts.
3.3. Three-layer ball
A three-layer ball can also be called a three-piece header, which is commonly used by high-level players. A ball core made of rubber, plastic or their mixture, which is equivalent to the size of hazelnut, is wrapped with a liquid-filled bladder and wound with a thin rubber strip like a thread, and the shell is made of rubber products. This kind of rubber-core liquid ball is the ball with the highest sense of rotation and impact at present.
Golf grip mode
There are three basic grip methods: interlocking grip, overlapping grip and baseball grip.
1, interlocking grip, refers to the grip when the right little finger is inserted between the left index finger and the middle finger and locked with the left index finger. This method is suitable for players with short fingers.
2. Overlapping grip, that is, the little finger of the right hand is placed between the index finger and the middle finger of the left hand when holding the racket. This method is more commonly used.
3, baseball grip, as the name implies, is to hold the club with two fingers, and then the right little finger and the left index finger can be attached. This grip is mainly suitable for women and the elderly who lack strength, but some professional players use this method.
No matter which grip method you choose, you should ensure the coordination between your hands and make you and the club become a whole. Try different grips to find the most comfortable grip, and the rest depends on whether the ball you hit with your grip is correct.
Aiming method of playing golf
1, aiming at the club
Stand behind the club, face the target, aim carefully, and aim the club vertically if necessary. Then start to stand and imagine the club as two parallel tracks, and the other track is the distance from the ball to the target. Place the club parallel to the toe 1-2 inches and slightly to the left of the target line.
① For short-distance balls within 100 yards, you must feel that your toes, knees, hips and shoulders are on the left side of the target line when aiming.
For a long-distance ball, make sure that your shoulders are aimed at the target, but keep this trajectory in your mind, so that the club head moves along the target trajectory and is parallel to the connecting line of all parts of your body.
Step 2 aim at the rope
In the professional competition, Stuart Yaplebai and shigeki maruyama put a rope on the ground to help aim. This clock method can give you a strong sense of direction when aiming, and there is a contrast between the starting and starting.
Step 3 dig grass and aim
Digging turf and grass marking are also more advanced methods to measure correct aiming. Swedish star Panivik will leave an arrow-shaped mark on the grass during practice, which is several feet long and goes straight to the target.
