After Yongzheng died, why didn't you want to be buried with your ancestors in the "ancestral grave"?

In ancient times, people of a family were usually buried in a cemetery after their death, which was generally called the ancestral grave of the family. But after the death of Yong Zhengdi in Qing Dynasty, he didn't want to be buried in the Qing Dongling with his ancestors, but was buried alone in the Qing Xiling. There are many sayings in history that he did this with this kind of meeting. There is a famous saying that his throne came from an improper source and he was ashamed to see his ancestors.

Because Kangxi did not choose Yongzheng before his death, but preferred the fourteen sons of the emperor. There is even a very famous legend that Yongzheng revised his testamentary edict before Emperor Kangxi ascended the throne, and what was written on the testamentary edict should be passed on to the 14th Prince. This statement was widely circulated at that time, and many people thought that Yongzheng's throne came improperly. And they think Yongzheng didn't want to be buried in the ancestral grave because he had a guilty conscience and didn't want to face his ancestors.

There is also a saying that it has something to do with the geomantic omen in China. Everything in ancient China was very particular about Feng Shui, especially when the emperor chose a mausoleum. It is said that Yongzheng originally wanted to choose chao yang shan, the tomb of Dongqing, but officials who had seen Feng Shui thought this place was not suitable. Although feng shui is ok, the terrain is not suitable for the emperor's mausoleum, and the soil is not good and it is easy to collapse. So Yongzheng chose another new and suitable place.

Finally, Yongzheng thought that his achievements were greater than those of his predecessors, so he didn't want to be buried with his ancestors, but chose another place to show his uniqueness. None of the above three statements has any real evidence, but many people's guesses.
