According to legend, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi traveled incognito to the south of the Yangtze River for three times. Today, he only brought a very famous Buddhist, that is, accompanied by the emperor, to Qinzhou and wanted to go to Fangcheng. When the Buddhist learned that Fangcheng was full of poisonous snakes and flying insects, he told the emperor not to worry until he knew the situation, so the emperor had to do it.
The feet of Emperor Kangxi and Buddhists were tied with ropes. When they were approaching the Maoling River, a sudden flash flood broke out and they could not cross the Maoling River. The emperor planned to spend the night in a farmhouse at the foot of the mountain, but the Buddhist was very young and had to obey.
The next afternoon, he went to Fangcheng and was exhausted in a cool place. Because of the hard journey, Buddhists settled down and the emperor himself sat down to rest. This sitting was a disaster. He was sitting on the back of a three-foot-long "king of eight millet". The "King of Eight Millets" opened his teeth and bit on his excrement pier, turned his tail and climbed to the top of the mountain. Buddhists are very painful.
At this time, the cock that had to fight kept barking. Although his feet were tied, he jumped up and chased the "King of Eight Millers". Emperor Kangxi quickly untied his feet and let him express himself heartily. The rooster and the "King of Eight Millers" fought to the death until the evening, and both sides were exhausted. In this way, the "King of Eight Millets" died on the mountain, and the rooster exhausted his remaining strength and flew to Dazhishan.
After Emperor Kangxi found a local doctor to collect herbs to treat the injury of the Buddhist teacher, he learned that the aggressive rooster died on Dazhi Mountain, and he ordered the mountain to be "Golden Rooster Mountain". When he learned that "Ba Wang Su" died in Fangcheng Changling, he named it "Centipede Ridge". He wanted to stay in the east of Maoling for one night, so he improvised an imperial edict and named this mountain "Kangxiling". From now on, the Jinji Mountain in Dazhi will be guarded forever.
