Tiger Leaping Gorge is the most dangerous place in the world. Although this brings inconvenience to navigation, this kind of "danger" contains a kind of beauty and a breathtaking magnificence, which attracts tourists from home and abroad to find out. If you enter the canyon from Lijiang Daju, get off the platform and follow the path to the foot of the mountain, you will arrive at Tiger Leap. There are steep cliffs on both sides of the river. On the 30-meter-wide river, there are four or five meters high tiger jumping stones. The river pours down from both sides, like a tiger descending the mountain, with extremely fast speed, splashing water and roaring valleys.

It gathers strength, constantly attacking cliffs, hurricanes, waterfalls, roaring empty valleys and shaking valleys. The bottom of the river is rough, and the Yatou mountain spring is spewing. When you climb carefully along the inter-wall trail at the waist of Haba Snow Mountain, you will often meet the flying springs and waterfalls, passing overhead, just like entering water curtain cave.
Walking on the mountain road, the foot-wide path rises and falls, with unfathomable cliffs at the foot, roaring waves at the bottom of the valley, and strong river winds whistling overhead, forcing people to approach the rock roots and move forward carefully. Occasionally, a stone falls like a nine-flying drop, and it will take a long time to see it fall into the waves stirred by the center of the river! Walking through a steep wall with a sloping ridge, a silver stream flashed into the fundus, which was a "jumping tiger". I saw two mountains sandwiched in the middle, shaped like two iron gates, with a bluish-black tiger jumping stone standing in the middle, like an evil general with the door closed. Jinsha River passes through the cliff from both sides, flies down in the air, rushes to the bottom of the cliff with thunderous force, and bounces up again, forming thousands of snow-white glittering and translucent waves, which instantly turn into silver rain emulsion fog, wetting the surrounding rocks and vegetation. Under the precipice, 1,000 Wan Tao waves are full of noise and whirling, like 1,000 mosquito dragons stirring the lake and making waves, and like 10,000 silver horses galloping, and then they go with the wind. In front of this magnificent picture, the momentum of this pound is overwhelming. Sun Zongweng, a Yunnan poet in the Gan Yong period in the Qing Dynasty, wrote in his poem Jinsha River: The axe of Liangcheng was chopped without trace, and the oxen ran to Xiang Li. There is a cave on the cliff called Dawang Cave, also known as "Wing Palace", which used to be the residence of the local Yao leader Wang Rouyi. In the battle of Luopan in Wanli four years of Ming Dynasty (1576), he fought against the conquest of Gaozhou Chen Lin sent by the Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, and died heroically here. The Yao people built a temple in Hutiaokou to commemorate him, but now the temple has been abandoned.
Tiger Leap also has golden locks, stone lions, barns, salt warehouses, stone statues, sword platforms and other places of interest, and there are immortal beds, city gates and other places of interest on the river bank. There is a famous mountain named "Five Horses Returning to the Trough" nearby, which has attracted countless tourists and left many beautiful poems. Liu Ruxin, a scholar in the Qing Dynasty, wrote a four-line poem: Rhododendron cries with blood, and water is in Yanshi Gorge. Qiaotou is a market town with a river in the east and a narrow north-south direction. The Chongjiang River in the town east is named after rushing into the Jinsha River.
The passenger station is in Zhenba, and buses in Lijiang and Zhongdian all pick up and drop off passengers here. If you want to rent a car to enter Tiger Leaping Gorge, you can also find a mini taxi here. On the northeast side of the town, there is a highway arch bridge across the rushing river. Crossing the bridge is the ticket office of the scenic spot. You can enter the Tiger Leap from here. Here, you can see the snow peaks of Yulong Snow Mountain. Because you are in Baja, you can't see the peak of Baja. Not far from the ticket office, you can see the rushing river in the north flowing into the Jinsha River from the south, where it turns to the northeast and collides with the huge gap between Haba Snow Mountain and Yulong Snow Mountain, cutting out a long and narrow deep valley, which is the famous Grand Canyon-Tiger Leaping Gorge.
Walking along the gravel road, you will see a prancing Shi Hu on the right, with a base about 3 meters high, which is a symbolic stone carving shape for entering Tiger Leaping Gorge. Enter the Grand Canyon from here, and appear at the edge of Haba Snow Mountain, the crossing channel on the north bank of Jinsha River. There are two roads from Tiger Leaping Gorge in Baja Mountain to Baishuitai.
It takes about 1 day to walk from the valley on the north side of Baja Mountain to Baja Village and then to Baishuitai.
The other one takes 3-4 days to cross a mountain pass in Baja Mountain, passing Bingdaban, Wanghai, Dajianshan Pingmu Farm and Baja Village on the way, and finally reaching Baishuitai, the holy land of Naxi Dongba. It will climb from Hutiao Mountain at an altitude of about 1700 meters to Haba Snow Mountain Pass at an altitude of about 4750 meters.
Haba Snow Mountain has changeable weather, complex geological structure, many dangerous rocks, fake glaciers and swamps. When he woke up, he found that Sister Jinsha had flown thousands of miles away, and Brother Yulong was going to cut off Brother Baja's head, so today you also saw that Jade Dragon Snow Mountain had a "head" and Haba Snow Mountain had a "hidden head".
Daju is an ancient Naxi market town. There is a square Tu Ping Square in the south of the town, and there are Hutiaoxia Hotel and Jinshajiang Hotel on the east side of the square, which are the best hotels and places that tourists often choose. To the north of the square are the shopping malls and guest houses of the Grain Management Institute; On the west side of the square is the "Qixia Restaurant" with great flavor; To the south of the square is a row of small department stores and recreation rooms, and large streets extend from the square. Looking at this square, you will feel deja vu. Much like the square street in Lijiang, it is also like the square street in Shuhe, but it is simpler and flatter.
From the square square, to the square street in Shuhe, and then to the square street in Old Town of Lijiang, you will see that the Naxi nationality breeds the characteristics of the town with the "square market" and sees a track of gradual development from the rural market town to the city. Out of the walnut garden is a tiger leap, the canyon is gradually widening, and you can already feel that you are about to walk out of the canyon.
There are two choices after leaving the gorge: one is to cross the Jinsha River and take a bus back to Lijiang in Daju; Second, continue to explore on foot, cross Haba Snow Mountain to Baishuitai and go to Zhongdian.
There are two other ferries on the Jinsha River. One is about 5 kilometers away from the walnut garden. Choose this ferry to see "the high gorge goes out of Pinghu", and the other ferry is about 10 km away from the walnut garden. It will take some time to walk out of the canyon and along the river.
The yellow English road sign next to the gravel road can guide you to the fork of the next ferry. After going down to the river for about half an hour, you will get two impressions when you look at this section of the river: first, it is spacious, and second, it is quiet. In addition to the towering peaks on both sides, it is also a major feature of the canyon, which is quite different from the impression of Tiger Leaping Gorge you saw in Tiger Leaping Stone. There are only two inns in Walnut Garden, namely "Shanquan" and "Shanbaimian". The distance between them is 50 meters, and the facilities and prices are similar, but the shopkeepers have their own distinctive colors.
Xiashanquan, the owner of the mountain spring, is a bitter possession of Zhongdian. He has a disabled hand, but he has a tenacious spirit and a clever mind. His wife, Ma Jia, is Australian.
