The mausoleum of the Later Zhou Dynasty is located near Guodian Town, about 0/8km north of xinzheng city City, Zhengzhou. It consists of four mausoleums: Songling, Qingling, Shunling and Yiling.
Songling is the tomb of Guo Wei, the Emperor of Zhou Dynasty. Guo Wei, the founding hero of the late Zhou Dynasty during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, was buried here in the first year of Xiande (954). Qingling is the tomb of Chai Rong in Zhou Shizong, located in Shang Ling Village, Guodian Town, Xinzheng. Shunling is the tomb of Gong Di Chai Zongxun, located in the northeast of Shang Ling Village, Guodian Town. Yiling is the tomb of Fu Shi, Queen of Zhou Shizong, located in Shang Ling Village, Guodian Town.
Compared with the tombs of feudal emperors such as Qin, Han, Tang and Song in the history of China, the tombs of emperors in the later Zhou Dynasty were obviously smaller, which was mainly related to Guo Wei's thin burial thought. According to records, Guo Wei told his adopted son Chai Rong before he died that the funeral should be simple, the tomb should be frugal, and there was no need for stone pillars, stone men and beasts, no need to repair the palace, no need for imperial secretary to guard, and only tile coffins and paper clothes were used for burial. It is not known whether Zhou Taizu Guo Wei was buried with a tile coffin and paper clothes, but there were no man and beast in front of Songling. There are no stone statues or animal statues in front of other Qingling, Shunling and Yiling tombs.
