The heyday of the castle was in the early Tang Dynasty, and the existing layout was also formed in that period. Later, because of the war between the Northern Song Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty, the trees around the castle were cut down, the ecology was seriously damaged, the water source was exhausted, the western part of Kaiyang Castle gradually began to desert, and the rich Sanggan River gradually became desolate.
In ancient times, the village was divided into north and south by the north wall. There are new villages in the north and old villages in the south. This ancient village now retains some ancient city walls. The wall is 350m long from east to west, 2 10/0m long from north to south, and the foundation is about 6m wide. The castle is planned to be turtle-shaped, surrounded by mountains and waters, with only one south gate. There are Beishan and Sanggan River in the north, and glans penis and a tributary of Sanggan River in the south (note: it has dried up now). This river, which is called "Haiwagou" by local people, looks like "exploring water in Gui Ling".
Time flies, time flies, thousands of years have passed, and after thousands of years of wind and frost baptism, only the once glorious ruins of the ancient city wall are left, quietly sticking to this ancient and unyielding land, as if telling glory and suffering. Like the ancient houses in Loulan, people go to the empty building, and the once noise is gone.
