Fake books refer to books whose authors and times are not the real authors and times of the book, or simply "books whose authors are not real".
Fake books have a long history. Throughout their history, there are nothing more than two situations: one is unintentional. For example, the old name of Biography of Yimin written by people was mistakenly called "written by Huangfulian" because of the frequent use of "Lian" in Records of the Ming Dynasty, Arts and Records of Jiangnan, which became a fake book. The other is a book with false information.
However, with or without benefits, "fake books" and "fake things" are different. Perhaps the "fake book" has caused great confusion in scientific research before it was identified, but it can be identified and its historical truth can be restored, and the "fake book" will eventually play its due role.
The value of fake books:
1. Fake books have academic ideological value and are of great significance to the study of the history of academic thought. Some fake books can preserve the forger's personal, social and ancient academic thoughts. For example, Hu Yinglin pointed out that Zhang Ba in the Han Dynasty forged the history of ancient Chinese literature, while Zhang Ba in the Sui Dynasty forged Lian.
2. Fake books have literary value and promoted the development of ancient literature. Hu Yinglin paid great attention to the literary value of fake books in the process of textual research. Such as Zi Huazi and Kang Cangzi, although they are fake books, they are "brilliant in literary talent". ?
3. Fake books have historical value, and many of them are indispensable reference materials for studying the ancient history of China. Fake books are different from fake history and fake things. There may be false historical materials in the real book, and there may be true historical materials in the fake book. Moreover, many documents are fake and wrong, and their value needs to be carefully identified. It is precisely because of its historical value that people cannot abandon it.
