The first statement is:
1850, jintian uprising led by Hong Xiuquan broke out in Guangxi. After the success of the uprising, Hong Xiuquan led the northern expedition. The Taiping Army was on a roll, and the Qing army fled. Hong Xiuquan is ambitious. He was not satisfied with occupying a city and a pool, but wanted to completely overthrow the rulers of the Qing Dynasty and build a peaceful and prosperous society. In less than two years, the Taiping Army entered Hubei from Yuezhou, and Hong Xiuquan led 300,000 troops, aiming at Wuchang.
The Qing army rushed to build two heaped-up mountains at Guan Sheng Ferry, where the terrain was dangerous, and sent soldiers to guard them, waiting for the arrival of the Taiping Army. To attack Wuchang, the Taiping Army must first pull out the "nail" of Shengguandu.
A fierce battle is inevitable.
Hu Yihuang, general of Taiping Army, led the vanguard troops to Shengguandu. After a short rest, he wanted to capture the ferry angrily by fighting all the way.
At first light this day, the south bank of the ferry suddenly became dusty and full of people, and an army wrapped in a headscarf shouted and rushed north. At the head of the line, there is a tall banner embroidered with the word "Hu".
The troops soon occupied the south bank of the ferry.
Hu Yihuang, who is good at fighting, looked at the terrain, lined up and ordered the attack.
Suddenly, thousands of Taiping officers and men who can fight well jumped into the water one by one, swarmed and struggled to swim to the north shore.
Taiping troops swam to the middle of the river and fell into a turbulent whirlpool. Many people were swept away by the rapids. At this critical moment, the Qing soldiers hidden on the two dirt mountains on the other side began to shoot arrows from the commanding heights. Poisonous arrows roared in, and those soldiers who were good at water and didn't let the rapids take them away were shot in the head one by one and slowly sank into the water. Fearing more casualties, Hu Yihuang quickly ordered the troops to retreat and stop attacking.
As soon as the Taiping Army retreated, all the hidden Qing troops on the other side stood on two makeshift dirt mountains and shouted with ecstasy: "Long Maozi, you can't cross the river, I want you to be wiped out here!" Others shouted: "Want to cross the river? Hurry up, hurry up, wait until the river freezes! " It was the spring of March. If the river is going to freeze, we have to wait at the south bank for the first half of the year. When the Taiping army heard the abuse, it was so angry that it wanted to hit each other and cut off the tongue of the Qing army. Hu Yihuang gnashed her teeth with anger and went on the rampage. Drawing lessons from the failure of the first attack, he decided to avoid two high mounds and attack from both sides of the ferry.
Hu Yihuang divided his troops into two groups and attacked from both sides at the same time.
After observing the movement of Taiping rebels, the cunning Qing army also divided the troops into two parts and arranged them in two different places.
The second attack began, and the brave Taiping soldiers jumped into the torrent and rushed to the other side.
The Qing army shot thousands of arrows, and one Taiping soldier was shot and involved in the rapids. Those few people who reached the other side were soaked and exhausted, and were soon surrounded and killed by the waiting Qing army.
This fierce battle lasted from morning till dusk, and the Taiping army launched round after round of attacks, but they were all repelled by the Qing army, which caused heavy losses and the situation was very critical.
Seeing that it was difficult for the Taiping Army to win, Hu Yihuang sized up the situation and had to order a temporary halt to the attack.
It seems that this "hard nail" is not so easy to pull out! Hu Yihuang had to camp on the south bank of Shengguandu, and called the military advisers and generals to give advice. Everyone thinks that it is not the way to fight like today. We can only take a long-term view, work out a good plan and act according to circumstances.
"But time is pressing, and the audience can't wait!" Hu Yihuang walked up and down impatiently in the chancellorsville. "The army led by the king will arrive soon. If we can't win Dadu soon, the Qing army reinforcements will be affected as soon as they arrive in Wuchang.
After discussion, we finally decided to collect ships in the local area to form a temporary water army and quickly win Shengguandu.
In the middle of the night, most of the soldiers fell asleep except the defending sentry, but Hu Yihuang couldn't sleep. He led the troops all the way, and he has never been so timid and suffered heavy losses as he is today. Thinking about walking, he unconsciously came to the river. Looking down, he couldn't believe his eyes, only to see a layer of ice on the rushing river during the day. He couldn't believe it was true. He was worried that the ice was too thin to walk, so he tried to stand up and took a few steps forward carefully. It's really good. It's no problem to walk there like this. In order to further confirm his conclusion, he stamped his foot again. The ice is thick and has no cracks. Hu Yihuang was overjoyed and said to himself happily, "God really helped me!" So, he ran back to the camp, selected 500 lean soldiers, equipped with sharp swords, rode fast horses, sped on the thick ice, set foot on the other side like the wind, killed the patrolling sentries one by one with knives and gourds, and then Jin Feng entered the Qing army camp.
The Qing army all hid under the covers and slept. They beat back the Taiping rebels' attacks again and again during the day, never expecting the Taiping rebels to steal the camp at night. Besides, there are swift rivers and natural barriers, which are really foolproof and can rest easy. The Taiping rebels fell from the sky, and they were stunned one by one. Before they understood what was going on, they made a fool of themselves.
In this way, the Taiping Army successfully occupied Shengguandu.
At noon the next day, the heavenly king Hong Xiuquan came with a great army, and Hu Yihuang led the officers and men to stand at Guan Sheng Ferry to meet the arrival of the army.
After crossing the transition, Hong Xiuquan stood on two dirt hills of the Qing army base on the north bank, looking at the dangerous terrain of winning Guandu, and listening to Hu Yihuang's story about the battle to seize this throat, he couldn't help but give a thumbs up and repeatedly praised: "Good, good, good!"
In order to reward meritorious soldiers, Hong Xiuquan immediately ordered that each of the 500 strong men in Hu Yihuang be upgraded to a higher level, and from then on, Shengguandu was renamed Shengguandu.
The second statement is:
According to legend, Wu Juren went to Beijing to take the exam and came to Shengguandu. It was getting late and there was no one on the ferry. Wu looked around, night fell, the wilderness was vast, and a sense of loneliness and fear came to mind involuntarily. Not only to give himself courage, but also to catch up quickly and find a place to rest as soon as possible. Wu's hands were trumpet-shaped and he called in a long voice, "Cross the river-cross the river-"
No one promised, only a few unclear echoes came from the horizon.
Wu was always in a hurry, shouting louder and longer: "Cross the river-cross the river-"
After shouting for a long time, a sick old man paddled a wooden boat and drove slowly.
Wu was very happy to see the ferry, but he couldn't stop complaining: "Old man, I've been calling for a long time. How did your old man bring the boat here? "
"I ... I ... I ..." The ferryman was about to answer when he suddenly coughed.
"Old man, what's the matter with you? Is it frozen! " Wu asked eagerly.
The boatman coughed for a long time and gasped and told him, "Alas! This is an old question. I used to watch at the ferry every night, but I can't get up these two days. Sorry to have kept Xianggong waiting. "
Seeing the old man dragging his sick body to the ferry, Wu was very sorry and thanked him again and again.
On the way to the boat, Wu Guo told the old man apologetically that he wouldn't have called the ferry in such a hurry if he hadn't tried it every three years. Hearing this, the old man said that this matter should be urgent. I hope you can catch the exam as scheduled, and senior officials will win the exam. I also hope that you will be a good official and help us with a wish.
Wu said to him, "Say anything, old man. As long as I have this ability, I will definitely do it. "
After a pause, the old ferryman pointed to the ferry and said, "Look, it's inconvenient to cross this avenue on the way from south to north. If you become a big official and build a bridge at this ferry, won't you be great? "
Hearing this, Wu nodded deeply, keeping the words of the ferryman firmly in mind.
As a result, Wu was a high school student and became a high official in the senior high school entrance examination. He didn't forget that the old ferryman made a special trip to send him across the river to Beijing to catch the exam, nor did he forget what the old ferryman said to him, so the first thing he did after taking office was to build a bridge-to build a long wooden bridge at Guan Sheng Ferry to provide convenience for pedestrians from south to north.
Later generations changed Shengguandu to Shengguandu to commemorate this good deed of Wu.
The third statement is:
Once upon a time, there was a Gao Shi who took a fancy to the geomantic treasure of Houguan Lake Shengguandu and built a thatched shed by the lake to live in seclusion.
Gao Shi looks no different from ordinary people. He cultivated land by the lake, cooked all kinds of vegetables, read books, or sat by the lake and fished with a fishing rod all day.
Slowly, Gao Shi became familiar with the local residents, and everyone regarded him as an ordinary person.
Finally, the whereabouts of this Gao Shi was secretly investigated and visited by officials sent by the imperial court. It turns out that this hermit is as literate as Zhuge Liang. Because the emperor of the dynasty was a very fatuous king, which made the whole officialdom corrupt, he had little interest in being an official. He said, "It's not impossible to be an official, but I can't get sick around a bad king. If Mingjun were alive, I would try my best to help him. " But the emperor of the dynasty, the bad king, took a fancy to him and insisted on appointing an official to do it for him. There is no way, he had to sneak out of the capital and run to Houguan Lake to hide. He lives like an ordinary person, and no one can figure out that he still has this extraordinary experience.
The groggy king suddenly died of illness. The prince ascended the throne. The new emperor has extraordinary ambitions. If you want to run the country well, you should recruit talents everywhere. Someone recommended this Gao Shi. The new emperor had already heard about him and couldn't wait to pull him to his side at once. So, he set up a special group, limited time, and must find the owner. If experts are found within the specified time, they will be rewarded; If there is no news after the time, then kill their heads. So these people dare not neglect at all, and they all work hard. Everything comes to him who waits, only half the time has passed, and Gao Shi was found by them.
After listening to the stories of these people, Gao Shi felt that the new emperor really wanted to do something, so he decided to "go out of the mountain" and go out of Houguan Lake to help the new owner and benefit the people.
The new emperor was very happy when he heard that he had found Gao Shi and was willing to come out to work for him. He immediately sent a huge ceremonial team to Guan Sheng Ferry to welcome him to Beijing with gongs and drums.
Gao Shi crossed the ferry and, accompanied by etiquette, went to Beijing to be his senior official. And this magnificent ferry behind him was changed to Shengguandu. Some people think that when he settled in Houguan Lake, he was actually waiting to be an official, but he didn't want to be a faint official, but wanted to be an upright official. Therefore, many people call Houguan Lake Houguan Lake. (Ryan, Ruan, Zhong Guokui)
